Myrah vs. Paro - personality typing

Hello all!

So this is a bit overdue. I had thought of personality typing Myrah the way I had done Paro so long ago (link attached below), never got around to it, and figured I should do it now, before the show ends.

As much as I want Myrah to be Paro, I don't think she is, because their personalities are so SO different. Even if someone forgets their memories, or change their way of life, the basics of who you are as a person doesn't really change. Anyhoo, here's a detailed look at Myrah (compared to Paro), accoding to the Myers Briggs personality typing (MBTI).

Just a small intro to those who don't know much, I'm a big believer in personality typing systems, particularly Myers Briggs (MBTI). Through a systematic way, one can understand the basic internal personality of a person, how they see the world, how they react, and knowing that it's easy to understand why they do what they do, and to maybe even predict how they may react. MBTI looks at 4 facets of personality explained below.

E vs I: Paro was definitely an introvert, no prizes for those who guess that Myrah is definitely an extrovert. Introverts process everything inside, and extroverts process everything outside. Is think before they speak, Es think as they speak. We saw that in Paro. She took time and verbalized her thoughts very eloquently, after she had come to the conclusion through thinking. Myrah talks and talks and talks. Not just that she's chirpy, but even when on her own, she's talking into a video recording. She needs to externalize everything!

N vs S: Paro was more dominant in intuition (N) than sensing (S). Those that are N are more big-picture oriented and focus on implications rather than details. Those that are S are more detail oriented. They perceive the world through their senses. What they see, touch, hear, smell around them is what makes up their reality. Those that are N are focused more on implications of perceptions, what do things mean, what can they do with that information. Myrah (like Khushi) is a senser. What she sees around her forms her reality. Which is true. She doesn't think of implications. How many times did we see that in her nok-joks with Rudra? She took the heli mhaari song to play a practical joke, without asking herself why does it bother Rudra. What could possible happen if she does that? She only relies on what she can see/touch/hear/smell. She goes with the goondas, because according to her, they're nice guys. But she doesn't look beyond that. Paro always did. Paro looked for patterns, she asked why, she tried to see how things connect together. She had a strong intuition and she relied on that. Myrah reacts instantly to what she is experiencing (like today, when she decided she loved Rudra and he loved her, and that's enough to break it off with Rohit, without digging any deeper), whereas Paro took time to understand a situation and then reacted to it. Myrah is all fun and games. She doesn't dig deep enough to find the depth in any situation.

F vs T. Feeling versus thinking. How does she make decisions? Does she depend on her emotions, feelings, value system, or is she logical, rational, intellectual? In this, both Myrah and Paro are Fs. They both rely completely on their feeling. If something doesn't feel right, no amount of logic can sway them. Everything about Myrah is what she feels. Not what makes logical sense. Wedding in India, wedding in a haveli, cozying up with the Ranawats, all of that is emotion. Paro was the same, but because she was N (versus Myrah's S), the issues she used her feelings to make decisions on were more heavy-weight (trusting Tejawat, trusting Rudra etc). But for both, logic has its own place, but feelings based on internal value systems will always trump.

J vs P. Judging versus perceiving. Is she quick to make decisions, or does she like to have her options open. I think she is a P versus's Paro's J. Paro was quick and decisive when determining what she has to do. She didn't dilly dally and waste time when in comes to big decisions. Initially, when she believed Rudra had killed her husband, she stuck to her guns in not supporting him. And when she found out the truth, she decided right away what she had to do. Myrah, I think is a P, but she doesn't look like a regular P. Ps are information or option gatherers. They will delay making decisions, because they want to be sure that they make the best decision possible, whereas Js are more focused on the outcome of decisions. Even though Myrah doesn't seem indecisive, she seems to be in a constant state of status quo. She's come for wedding planning, but she isn't doing any planning. She's wishy-washy, flaky, has no real plan in life, or even in Udaipur. She's just going with the flow.

So here we have it. Myrah is an ESFP (versus Paro's INFJ). ESFPs love people and new experiences. They are lively and fun, and enjoy being the center of attention. They live in the here-and-now, and relish excitement and drama in their lives. Isn't that so Myrah? She's chirpy, bubbly, fun, likes talking to everyone, getting to know everyone. From the minute she walked into the Ranawat haveli, she caused a storm, draping dupattas, doing London thumakdas, playing silly games with the kids, whatever it was. She likes causing fun and games, and likes to be right in the thick of it. For the ESFP, the entire world is a stage. They love to be the center of attention and perform for people. They're constantly putting on a show for others to entertain them and make them happy. And that's all we've seen Myrah do. Perform! Puppet shows, dances, funny faces, video recordings, bhoot simulations with audio recordings. All just masti.

ESFPs are definitely spontaneous, optimistic individuals. They love to have fun. They may also avoid looking at long-term consequences of their action. Oh Myrah. NOTHING she does is thought out for the long-term. Not moving in with the Ranawats, not getting close to Rudra, not breaking it off with Rohit. Even if Rudra loves her, she knows he has a dead wife that he is still not over. Has she once stopped to think how that would affect her? How Dhruv fits into this? Nops.

One of their greatest gifts is their general acceptance of everyone. They are upbeat and enthusiastic, and genuinely like almost everybody. An ESFP is warm and generous with their friends, and they generally treat everyone as a friend. As witnessed when she came into the house. She found a connection with pretty much everyone, and genuinely liked all of them! However, once crosesed, an ESFP is likely to make a very strong and stubborn judgment against the person who crossed them. They are capable of deep dislike in such a situation. As happened with Rudra. One bad start, and that was it. She was childish and churlish with him, immature, and nothing he did would change her opinion of him, until recently.

Incidently, Khushi was the same (ESFP). Khushi too was fun-loving, liked everyone, played games, always had to be the center of attention, and never dug too deep to look for implications. She too saw the world via her senses, and all she did was to make sure that everyone around her was comfortable. Myrah is raised differently, but these personality traits are the same.

Paro though, was different from Myrah and Khushi. As an INFJ, she had a queit conviction and stood up strongly for what she believed in. She's more intuitive and more decisive and fought quietly for her beliefs. I could write lots about Paro here, but I urge you to read the post on her (link below) for more on what Paro was like.

I think this is the last time I'll do a personality analysis. Thanks to all those who appreciated but it takes alot of time to write up for so little interest.
