Sorry guys. I know I had taken my sweet time with this part. But I am in the process of shifting my house and things have been pretty hectic.

Kalpi sat beside Raghav feeling very nervous and self conscious. Because even though she hadn't looked at him, she knew that Raghav was continuously staring at her from the moment she came down the stairs. She was so aware of every little thing that he was doing, that when she heard him whisper 'Splendid', it felt as if he had whispered it into her ears and her heart started doing little pit-a-pat's. She felt the heat rising in her cheeks as she looked up at him. The love and passion that she saw in his eyes made her heart skip a beat. With a small jerk of her head she asked him 'What?' He shook his head but continued looking at her.
(Raghav and Kalpi are talking to each other in whispers so that no one else is privy to their conversation.) 😳
R - "I am afraid if I look away, that you might just vanish and this might all turn out to be my dream."
K - "If its a dream, then I don't ever want to walk up." Kalpi blushed furiously as she spoke these words. Kalpi couldn't believe her own ears. These lines were expected from Paakhi, but her and even Raghav. Deva he was driving her crazy but she loved every minute of it.
Kalpi turned her face and looked at the fire so as to dissuade him, and herself, from using such cheesy lines but he wouldn't stop staring. She tried to distract herself by looking away, only to catch Maya giving her a small wink. Her blush deepened and she looked to her side, knowing very well what Maya (and everyone who was looking at them) must be thinking.
Her eyes then fell on Paakhi who was sitting a few feet away to her right. Paakhi had a dazzling smile as if she had won the biggest prize. The same smile was evident on Sammy's face, who was sitting right beside Paakhi. They both were so completely lost in each other that apparently they didn't even hear their pundit ask them something causing him to repeat his words a bit sternly. Kalpi controlled her giggles as both Paakhi and Saamy blushed deeply at getting caught. It was harder to control her giggles when she remembered Raghav's reaction when he first heard about the 'double wedding.'
It looked as if he had eaten something bitter. He had disagreed vigorously as - "he hated double wedding" and no matter what - "wasn't interested in being part of one." Everybody had tried to convince him that there was no other option as the astrologer had confirmed that there was just one auspicious date, after which they would have to wait six more months for the next one. Aai had to be present for both the weddings, so there was no possibility of doing it in different venues. Raghav had still been adamant, even while the others were pressuring him. She knew though, that his denial was solely because of her.
Sammy had even tried a different approach and suggested that Raghav and Kalpi wait for six more months if Raghav was not ready for a double wedding; but the look that Raghav gave him stopped Sammy, and everyone else, from sharing similar ideas. Raghav had eventually walked out from there; leaving behind a flabbergasted group who had no idea on how to proceed.
Kalpi had successfully sneaked out to meet Raghav; as the group was too busy brainstorming for ways to convince Raghav.She caught him just as he was about to enter his car. She convinced him that she had no issues with a double wedding but Raghav still decided to let the group stew till the next day just because Sammy had suggested that he wait for six months to marry her.
A double wedding. Who would have ever thought that she would agree to a double wedding with Paakhi. If someone would have suggested this to her before four months, she would have just laughed at their faces or, more likely, blasted them. But today it was really happening. Kalpi and Paakhi were getting married. On the same day, at the same venue, to people who they loved very much and (she turned to look at Raghav), who loved them very much.
Raghav looked at where she was looking for an instant before his eyes found hers again.
R - "You don't have any regrets about the wedding, do you?'
K - "I love everything about this wedding. Why would I have any regrets?"
The Pundit asked Raghav to place his right hand over the fire and for Kalpi to place her right hand in Raghav's hand. They both did this and then continued following everything that the pundit asked them to do.
With one eyebrow raised, Raghav enquired softly- "Really? Everything? I am sure this isn't the type of wedding you wanted. Every decision about this wedding was taken by Paakhi."
K - "It made Paakhi happy to make the decisions for the wedding. And when Paakhi is happy, Aai also becomes happy."
R - "And what about your happiness?"
She smiled to herself at the concern she heard in his voice. She looked into his eyes and was once again astounded by the depth of feelings she saw for herself. After Paakhi had told her that Raghav was in love with her, she was uncertain about how true her words were or even what she herself truly felt for him. But the doubts were no longer there in her mind. Not after the day she was kidnapped.
