Hi everyone, 🤗 I am back with the next part. I know it has taken long, so have tried to keep it long. And yes finally Kalpi is there in this part. 😉
Paakhi sat alone in the room, looking at the door, wondering why it was taking so long for someone to come and take her to the mandap. She couldn't wait any longer to be with him. She felt like rushing down the stairs and throwing herself in his arms. What she wouldn't give to be just held by him. As she continued day dreaming about her Prince Charming, she realized something was amiss. Where did Kalpi go? Come to think of it she had been missing for quite sometime now.Just as Paakhi had stood up to go look for Kalpi, the door opened and Kalpi walked in.
P - "Kalpi where did u go without telling me. You know how anxious I have been getting sitting here all alone." Paakhi placed both her hands on her hips and looked at Kalpi."You made everyone leave and then you also left me." She pouted and folded her arms in front of her. "Well even I was getting annoyed by the sound all those people were making, but then you also went missing?"
Kalpi smiled at her childishness and made her sit back down.
K - "Prem was here. I was just outside talking to him"
Both of Paakhi's eyebrows rose and she looked at Kalpi for any sign of distress.
P - "Did he come to badmouth Raghav, talk some sense, break the marriage or some other evil thing?"
Kalpi smiled slightly and shook her head in a no.
K- "He just wanted to give his sister this,"she opened a box she was holding to reveal a beautiful kundan set, "and tell her to consider this as his blessings for a happy married life." Kalpi slowly placed the necklace around Paakhi's neck and said - "He wants you to know that he will always love you."Paakhi slowly touched the necklace with shaking fingers and eyes brimming with tears.
As Kalpi helped her with the latch of the necklace, Paakhi couldn't help but be in awe of Kalpi who had turned Prem from a menacing, evil minded brat to someone who truly cared and loved others. She really was amazing. It was no wonder that her brother had fallen in love with Kalpi. But the fool that he was, he had never confessed his feelings to her.
Kalpi couldn't forget the sad look in Prem's eyes as he gave her the necklace for Paakhi. It was true that there was a smile on his face but the sadness never left his eyes. She assumed it was because his sister was getting married but had a nagging feeling that it was probably something else. She was pulled out from her thoughts when Paakhi suddenly jumped up and hugged her.
P - "I am so happy that you and Kamla Maa are a part of my life." A smile immediately came on Kalpi's face as she returned the hug.

While he sat at the mandap, Raghav looked around him and couldn't help but fall more in love with her. It was true that none of the things around him reflected her taste but still every single thing revealed a bit of her personality.
The venue and decorations were all very fancy and over the top, something out of a magazine, but she wanted to please her mother and therefore had agreed to all of it. No matter how much her mother hurt her feelings, she still loved her and wanted her mother to be happy
Pundit - "Someone please call the bride."
Raghav's fully concentration turned towards the Pundit. The time he had waited for was finally here. Kamla Maa said that she would go and went up the stairs along with Maya. A few minutes later, he could hear soft whispers and murmurs mixed with the sound of gasps and realized that she was coming down the stairs.
He wanted to turn back immediately and look at her, but his heart was beating so loudly that he couldn't hear anything else. At last he gave up the fight to control his heart, a fight that he had lost long back, and turned to look at her. His heart stopped beating. He couldn't hear or see anyone except her. As she took small steps towards him, his heart started beating once again. He continued watching her till Maya helped her sit right next to him. His throat constricted and no words would come out except "Splendid."He saw a deep blush creep up her cheeks and again lost track of his thoughts. Slowly, almond colored eyes lifted up to look at him, and he was once again amazed at how could he even be so lucky to make her his. His Life. His Wife. His Kalpi.
