I think Dev is typical Goenka obsessed with a girl who he finds link to Nitya. He has the weakness of not being able to look beyond surface, not joining facts or putting together loose rnds for big picture. I find him obsessed with Durga/Nitya from day one.

No wondering why Durga keeps Payal away or doesn't want her to meet Shaurya. No suspicion on family despite their obvious crooked behaviour.

What sach he wants to know is beyond me! He is not bothered about case. But wants to know about Nitya. How does he think Durga must know about her?

Honestly I don't think he would have bothered about Durga had he got diary in full without torn pages.

Concern for Durga is just a dialogue. Was he bothered when Durga and Shaurya used to meet often?

Hypocrite was curious about Shaurya's drama too but didn't have guts to examine him! Only fit to run after a girl!

Mard ke saamne mooh khol ke dikhaye toh maanu! He didn't even snoop on Shaurya's friends who are other rape accused.

Dev is a poorly developed character.

He must be asking-

- who does not want Payal to get better?

-Who wants to see her silenced?

- who will benefit from Payal consigned to a mental asylum?

-If the court verdict was wrong, then it means Payal was raped as suggested at the start of the case. Who wants to protect the accused?

-who would be protecting Shaurya or acting in his interests?

and many more on similar lines.

He needs to ask plenty of 'who ' and 'why' questions in relation to the Payal rape case and the attempts on his life

He should also learn from his recent experience- whenever he has tries to dig for info, someone else has found out and put him in danger.

He needs to be alert to someone else following him/ keeping an eye on his movements.
