The article is mainly on Khayyam-Rafi-Talat, but here we have gone into 16 pages discussing who is a legend between Khayyam Saab & ID.
Are Mohd Rafi & Talat ko bhi due credits do bhai.
😆😆😆 Good one Joypaul ji.
I consider both Talat Saab and Rafi Saab as legends.😳
For me Khayyam Saab too is a legend... some of his compositions are really great.
ID also holds legendary status for me - I cant get his albela sajan aayo re from HDDCS, and just love Jhhoka hawa ka aaj bhi out of my mind.... there are some other songs too from the film Devdas and HDDCS of his which I thoroughly enjoy.... and I think I am going to remember these songs for a long time to come.
Each one has a own set of legends based on their liking. Each one also has their own music preference . Just because someone does not agree to mine or I dont agree to someones taste does not make him or me any less or more a music lover.
All old is gold and all new has mould, this generalization is wrong. Its the generation that rules the choice of songs. Today for some of us, the golden era musicians are the legends because we thoroughly enjoy their songs. Tomorrow, may be for some today's musicians will be legends coz they enjoy those songs.
I enjoy masti ki pathshala as much as I enjoy eeina meina deeka....Jiya dhadak jaaye is one song i really like of the current times, same with Piyu bole or Ya Ali, or some of the Tum bin songs, pal pal pal.....so does that give me a failing grade as a music lover....? 😆
So lets leave the choice to personal taste. Democracy allows a "right to choose". New or old, why bother... music never had any boundaries.... if you enjoy it just play it on,....
