Could it be the age?

Last year, the first contestant to be eliminated was Sagar Sawarkar, the youngest of the lot, even tho he sang fairly decently (there were worse contestants) and this year, Richa, the youngest, is the first to be out, even tho she clearly wasnt the worst...IMO...could it be because of her age? i understand there are personality issues with her, but this is a singing competitiont, so that shouldnt play a huge deal, even tho it does...what could be the reason behind this trend, comparing last years first ouster to this years'?

I dont know.. but age could be the factor.. and due to her age or nature she is not evry confortable performing and dancing on stage.. So I think sony wanted her out..
She was focused only for wrong reasons.. never good things like other contestants.. so naturally she became unpopular quite early.. also providing them fodder for drama..
I think excluding jolly,richa performance before galas.. last week was deliberate.. atleast i cnat think of any other reason..
if at al she was highlighted it was to create negative reaction from audience..
anyway she is stil 16.. so i m glad she is out.. she can focus on things that r important rather than focus on peformance and stuff as required by indian idol and misplace her priorities...

Payal, i think u are mistaken. Neha Kakkar(last year) was the youngest of the lot (she was only 16)...sagar was in his 20's...Neha shud have been out first if it was according to age so i doubt that it is!

Richa had a lot of negative publicity. But more importantly, she has not performed consistently. After the wonderful audition and a decent first theatre round she was on a steady downhill journey. I've seen people on the forum start out as staunch Richa fans, defend her fiercely through the Prashant controversy and then gradually lose interest in her after the piano round. So she lost some fans through singing and some through the whole attitude thing. Her leaving wasn't a big surprise therefore. In fact, of the bottom four, she was the least consistent, so it is okay for her to leave. I remember Sagar's leaving as a much bigger shock.

BTW do you remember if what you're saying happened in II1 as well (I mean the youngest being eliminated)? Just curious. 😊

no i dont think so well she didnt sing good yesturday so thats why she is eliminated and compared to the others her voice wasnt good(no offence to richa fans)

Maybe she means youngest of the boys? But you're right, I forgot about Neha.

yeah but how can u compare II-2 youngest boys to II-3 youngest girls...so the votin has nuthin to do with age!

true...he didn't deserve...but mayb it has to do wid height😉...they were both the shortest contestants!
