I volunteer for old age home . And that has made me realize how important companionship is specially as you grow older, kids go off to univ, get married is busy with their life. .

I had instances in our family where the spouse died pretty early and i always felt that that lady or gentleman who was left behind, after sometime actually needed somebody in their life---a saathi.

But alas society has not fully moved to that point yet.

LONELINESS IS A HUGE THING.Those who have faced loneliness how knows how oppressing it is and how it can slowly kill you.no matter how many family members are with you and how much your son is with you.when you feel lonely, when you turn around in your bed at night,that empty space next to you will destroy you.just yaadein is not enough for a living person.It is sad really sad.i have seen my male family members going through widowhood.it is terrible.we can say how much we are there,but someone with them sharing their happiness and fears and day to day activities in life always gives the other person a boost.it doesn't have to be love.the word here is companionship.
