@harini I don't think they have changed the original plot. The day I heard Suchitra has a son in US I knew that he is the male lead. Durga will become the eldest DIL of Goenka family. That was a very easy guess to be frank.
But I had expected that entry after all the peripherals are done with. I mean still Payal's friend and Doc is remaining.
Reason I felt it that way was because to fight with Sakshi on a one to one basis Durga needs that surname and the access that surname gives.
Dev is far too straight forward and till now he has not used his surname the way it should be used. I mean the evil trio has more contacts than Dev.
But Durga is a person who has known the might of that surname and what that surname can do and cannot do. She will use it in the same way Sakshi uses but to cleanse the evil trio.
She can achieve it only by becoming Dev's wife and that too Dev has to know who she is and her mission and stand by her.
Durga as Dev's wife is danger to Sakshi as Dev and his mother are 2 people the evil trio has sidelined a lot. So a very strong DIL for Suchitra is not good for Sakshi.
Coming to Dev. He is far too straight forward. He will mess up somewhere as his methods are not full proof. Now he used a false name. So that means he knows some danger is there. But he didn't think about CCTV. Good that CCTV is damaged. So he will make some blunder here and there in his investigation leaving a trail. Sakshi has taken PHD in manipulation, under cover work, intimidation and what not.
How can a LKG student in manipulation survive against a PHD holder.
