Please calm down. No one is saying mythili should be a doormat. But she can be a strong character without loosing her sweetness. coming across as how she is these days her sweetness is lost that was the essence of her character. Thats what is being discussed. Like it was mentioned 7 yrs must have changed a lot of equation which we will never know.

Anyways the pace in which the story is moving fwd...aaj jhagda kal dosti...samjh nahi aaraha itna sochna bhi chahiye ya nahi.

Earlier it was Mohini who dominated the house with her razor sharp tongue, and Maithili was the meek, obedient bahu who had to bow down before her. Now circumstances are different. Mohini's taunts have stopped, she actually depends on her now and so does the whole house and Maithili has found her place in the household. Rudra is basically still a child, and she to take care of him, as well as the kids - who love her as their own mother. With such new responsibilities, one is bound to undergo some change in character. That is what happened here.
