My time is very important! I normally don't do many interviews as people are not intellectual enough to understand the gravity of my words. However I like the 'Empress of Film' (chuckles). Shows that I am still a commodity in the film fraternity. Don't butter me up! ! it's not easy having people wrapped around my finger.
Lets get to that shall we. As an actress adored by legions of fans how have you become so grounded?Well it takes a certain level of sensitivity. The moments that make you human. I remember on the sets of Singham Returns when I was grinding spices and preparing for a very gripping scene. Here I was toiling away. Why? This is real!. The common persons job and if it's good enough for them then I will do my part. Anything for the fans. They love me and I am grateful.
So you think your fans are the common person, Beneath you?Please forgive, Now let's move along. How did you get on with your costar Ajay Devgan? Especially after his first co star Kajal Aggrawal and their pairing in Singham.
Ajay Devgan is a respectable man and has been fortunate enough to work with me in the past. A dear friend Kajol has been immensely grateful for my time in this project. When I signed to do this film I wanted to bring this masterful tale to the audience. Allow my acting to truly reach the pinnacle of success. One of my best performances to date. Of course I don't care about awards but no acknowledgement will mean one thing. Blindness. For real talent laid bare for all to see. Mine!
Aaah the Talent! With so many articles about turning down roles is there any truth to this. Were they not right?Definitely. Ever single role that I turned down has been judged by 'I'. It's my level expertise that really gives a movie the essence that makes it great. Something which all lacked in some way or another. I would have brought more creativity, diligence and professionalism. I am appreciated and it shows by how many roles I have turned down. The scripts are not up to standard with what I can offer as an actress. Look at my BO records that in itself speaks volumes.

Ajay Devgn shines as a straight jacketed cop, delivering dialogues and punches with panache. Kareena Kapoor Khan has nothing much to do other than playing eye candy. The romantic track in the film between Ajay and Kareena stands aloof from the main plot, providing little comic relief. Amole Gupte has given an earnest performance but his over enunciation of dialogues is tad irritating. the action is hardcore managing to engage the viewers with its intensity. Lets see what the second half has in store.
