"I'm not doing this on my own," he said of his role in the project, adding that the line may be launched later this year. "I'll be endorsing shirts and t-shirts and the line is likely to be out in time for the Diwali season," the actor said.

Sunny's next release is this Friday, when he stars for the first time with his brother and father in a film together. Apne is the story about a man who fails at his goal at becoming a champion boxer and trains his son to then achieve this feat.

The film is going head-to-head with two releases: one the first big budget film from Mahesh Bhatt's stable, Awarapan; and the other, Aap Ka Surroor, from the man who created a sensation at Ajmer on Wednesday, Himesh Reshammiya.

Sunny was breezily confident about how Apne would do. "My film is bigger than the other two releases," he said in true Jat style, "and our USP? The Deols are the USP of the film."

"In any case it doesn't matter," he said, "three films releasing on the same day don't have to clash if their content is different." His fans will be hoping that is indeed the case, and any way, his banian tag line is: "apna luck pahen ke chalo."
