"Sid you know DD, she'll never agree to our marriage" Roshni said with her head in Sid's lap. They were sitting under the shade of a tree in the park discussing what to do next. "I'm here so what's there to worry about" Sid said cheerfully. "Don't worry she'll agree to our marriage!"
Roshni shook her head. She knew her mother better than Sid. "Didn't I tell you before Sid how my mother is?! How do you think you can take out that stone in her chest and replace it with a heart?!"
Sid thought for a moment before answering. "I'm Sid and nothing is impossible for me" he said loudly. "You know very well Roshni that once I decide something no one can stop me not even myself." Roshni knew it was useless arguing with Sid. He wouldn't listen to her. She was only worried about DD's reaction.
"What?!!" DD asked in shock when Bablu nervously informed her about what he had seen.
DD clenched her fists in anger. She knew something had been fishy and so she had sent Bablu after Roshni to keep an eye on her. "DD it's the truth" Bablu said looking down at his feet nervously.
Bablu flinched as DD took hold of a vase and threw it across the room.
"What are you doing here now? Get lost!" DD yelled at him. Bablu bowed before her and immediately left her cabin. 'No this can't be happening' DD thought to herself. 'In order for this project to be in my favor I need Roshni to marry the son of Kapoors. It would be really profitable to our company.'
She took hold of her telephone and dialed a number. "Fix up a meeting please" she said.
Siddharth entered DD's cabin. She was seated in her chair with her back facing him. "Do you have no manners!" she barked. "Now get back out and come back in properly by knocking on the door!" "I am sorry" Sid told her. DD raised her eyebrows as she found the voice familiar. She quickly turned around in her chair and gasped. "You?" she asked in surprise. "Well yes me" Sid said cheerfully. He sat down in front of her and put his legs up on the table. "How dare you!" Durga Devi said angrily. "Guard..!!!" she called out loud. "Hold on a moment" Sid said. "You asked me to come here yourself!" "Why would I call you here of all people?" Durga Devi asked him with a sarcastic smile. "That you ought to know" Sid said adjusting his collar.
She picked up her phone and immediately Bablu rushed in. "Yes DD-" "What's this Bablu! I asked you to send Siddharth Khurana in..the guy you saw with Roshni..not this idiot!" DD said frustratedly slamming her hand on the table.
"D-" Bablu started. "Just get him out of here!" she interrupted. "DD-" Bablu made another attempt to tell DD about Sid. "Just relax Bablu Chacha" Sid interrupted calmly. "You go on out and I'll handle this arrogant lady." 'Chacha?' Bablu thought but scurried out of the office feeling that would be best.
"I'm not arrogant!" DD snapped at Sid. "I am arrogant then" Sid said sarcastically. DD nodded foolishly. "Exactly."
"No look..I am Siddharth Khurana" Sid replied. She looked him top to bottom "You?" DD asked him suspiciously.
"Yes and now may I ask why you have fixed a meeting with me?" Sid asked getting right to the point.
"I need you to stay away from my daughter Roshni" DD said simply. "Hold on a sec..what makes you think I will listen to you?" Sid asked her with a wide smile. Durga Devi smiled slightly. "I knew you couldn't be convinced so easily." Sid watched as she pulled out a case from her drawer.
"Take this money and leave my daughter!" DD ordered.
Sid went bright red in the face. "I am not after your money Durga Devi" he said raising his voice for the first time since he had entered the cabin. DD didn't even bother to correct him that it was DD. She was shocked by the sudden reaction from him. No one had ever dared to raise their voice in front of her. But this boy did. Interesting.
Sid slid the case back towards DD. "If this is why you have called me here then it's best that I leave right now" he said his voice back to normal though there was a slight hint of coldness to it. DD was shocked that the irritating boy could ever be serious. "My daughter is going to marry who I choose for her. And she especially can't marry you" DD replied. "You have not left a good impression in front of me."
Siddharth shook his head at the woman before him. The struggles of life had turned her into a cruel and heartless person. She failed to understand the meaning of the word "Family". To her money was life.
That day Siddharth took it upon himself to change this lady. He would show her that money wasn't everything. There was more to life than that. He would be her Jamai and one day she would be proud to announce him as her Son-In-Law.😳
"Adios mother-in-law" Sid said before stepping out of the cabin.
I hope you guys liked the beginning.😃 The characters of this story will be basically the same as the show. I might add a few characters as the story progresses.😳
