It was such a beautiful love story, set in the most colorful and rustic Rajasthan!
You gave us BSD strongman, brooding, dark hero Rudra, and pretty as a butterfly Parvati.
You gave us a perfect desert setting with havelis, palaces, a oh so handsome Thakur with a royal bearing.
The sand, the camels, the granduer of a palace wedding, a dancing Laila, barathies from Sarhad Par.
The emotions, the tears, the tragedies, and the red wedding lengha.

I loved it all. A glimpse into a world I had never seen before. A fictionalized romanticized world, but very appealing none-the-less, to someone like me who has never been to Rajasthan or India, or anywhere close.
RR1 was one of a kind show.

Some notable forum writers had suggested that Rangrasiya needed a bit more of a modern feel.
Now we have RR2.

I must say I am looking forward to next episode, because RR2 also totally rocks.
Missing Paro and her ghaghras but Myrah has totally got my attention.

But the real Rangasiya was still the most breathtakingly magical show I had ever seen!

I haven't seen the episodes, but from the picture I have seen, the creatives have done a 365 degree of something which may or may not work, I am hoping that they justify their actions, because I loved the rustic setting of the original screenplay.😕

The real tragedy is that not everyone, all serial watchers all over the world, got to enjoy the magic of Rudra Paro and Rangrasiya.

I was recently in New Zealand, where my entire extended family have never watched a single episode of RR. Even though most of them are addicted to watching Indian television (now very prolific in NZ, because of a large immigrant population)

Initially I could not find RR on the Colors channel there. I saw many repeated episodes of every other Colors show. There were no promotions of RR at all. I eventually discovered it was being played at 12noon and 12 midnight. Almost no one was watching TV at either hour.
I felt so sad. For the show, for the actors, the crew, everyone.
