I stopped watching many shows precisely due to this. BV is so obsessed with marriage that they force it on men too whether they are ready for it or not.🤢

What happened to makers who once gave Aarohan, Rajni, Shanti, Udaan, Saara Akash?

DABH is the only show that focused on a woman's goal but they still make it family drama about her dharam sankat.

Why even for revenge, marriage is the only means to accomplish it?😲

These days work and goals are treated like a joke or burden and only marriage is hailed as ultimate goal of life like you're born to marry. I hate how TMKOC also makes joke and tragedy of Popatlal just because he's not married. Pathetic agenda. 👎🏼

And the time frame that was dictated by TRPs unfortunately. The shows TRPs going up meant drag, drag and more dragfest.

That's why I prefer finite shows, because if it is not then based on TRPs dragfest starts. Even in EHT we are having dragfest now.

And having the support of a man, I dont call it bad. Sometimes in a patriachial society like ours a changed attitude of a man can go a long way in creating independance for a woman and I dont consider independent as something independent of relations. Within relations also independance can be shown.

But problem as I said with our shows is that instead of showing real men and real women they prefer to show woman as door mats and men as dumb. Unfortunately those shows gets TRPs too. So who to blame.

@ Shruti: That is the point. Ask them to show love stories and you will find epic love stories. Dupattas flying, accidental touches, drunken leads, rain, dance, hugs, forced or compromising marriage and then consummation.😆 As them to show something real and then haisha huisha we all fall down😆 The original theme of DABH was a husband supporting his wife to become IPS and not really a sweety- cuty love story. It was suppose to be a mature bond between the leads. Never mind, all I found was sanskaro ka achar.

If you want a good example where actually women empowerment was shown lets talk about Mrs. Tendulkar on Sab tv. Although, it was a comic series it pointed out the demarcation between man and woman. It also pointed out that home makers are important elements in a family and therefore deserves respect along with love. Love alone is not everything.

As for TRPs are concerned, a good businessman never complains. He knows how to sell his things. Only because a halwai is famous in the town, the grocer never fails to sell his share of karela, isn't it ?

It reiterates women can't do anything on their own and are at mercy of men or dependent on how much support or freedom men give them.

Sandhya is at least earning on her own and cleared exams. Unlike these Durgas or Sakshis who are simply eating off men's resources.

Anandi also burnt her books when Dadisa told her to. Then resumed studies only when husband deserted her and FIL asked her to study. She relied on her influential Singh family earlier and now relies on collector husband's influence.

These shows are just jokes.

I don't buy TRP argument much because better shows had succeeded in past.

And as content creators they have power to change trends like DKDM brought back mythos.
