Hiral,
Thank you for addressing both Sanaya and Ashish equally with so much love and passion!Colors made a grave mistake by putting Paro on the chopping block. Let me tell you why.Every trp aunty I have spoken to, totally "gets" Paro! Every woman and man of reasonable understanding, including maids, beauticians got Paro. They all got this love story! Every single one. It was the story of Shiv and Parvati for them. Even now, they see this heinous event as the death of Sati! The only ones who did not seem to get it were members of the IF forum, who were too blinded by their fandom, their preconceived notions of what a role should be, who measured Paros value in terms of dialogue, screenspace, " emoting" not emotions, who called her character paper thin, who wanted her POV!If her POV was not clear, then why is everyone crying? If her character was paper thin, why is everyone drowning in grief? If she was not believable, why is everyone walking around saying paro nahi toh Rudra nahin, like zombies? Sanaya spoke about her Cvs in an interview referring to one of them as "her". She pointed out nuances of Paro that many of u s got, and some did not. And yet people were prepared to swear up and down that there was no female on the cv team! But it does not really matter does it? rangrasiya has become a victim of diabetes diagnosed by taking blood pressure readings. In other words, by totally inaccurate metrics. There are real women like Paro. My mother was one of them. Paro reminded me everyday of her. And the ones who never understood Paro have hurt me just as the ones who never understood my mother. She was callecnaive, gullible, chaalaak even. She was none of those things. She chose to love people regardless. Thats all it was.Colors just showed the world that these women are not meant to survive. That honour killings work. That without a man, a woman is nothing. Colors would even kill off divine Shiv and Parvati to gain T RPs.Well done.
