Pari is the complete opposite. Kajol is the only actress I have liked consistently, no one else. Other people make the Kajol comparison, it should just be easy for me to like her, but somehow it is just not the same. Not even a shadow. Her choice of movies is just ridiculous. What the hell was HTP ? Her acting was just .

One of my biggest complaints against Kajol is she is not very versatile, but she managed to be a villain and do regional cinema too despite having narrow parameters and being married, mom and the long breaks she took. Pari just does not seem to want to take the risk, she keeps doing W*F movies like HTP or roles that blend in. Kajol too did big banner films mostly, but I could always see differences in character. Both subtle and overt and she was so good, she disappeared into character. I never saw Kajol play the character, I always saw the character she played. Her biggest advantage was her looks were average, so she was chameleon like to me.

Pari's looks are average too and that is an advantage, but I always see Pari playing the character, not the character. That is the difference between an average talent and a great one to me, even in mediocre films. I am extremely disappointed in Pari, I expected better in terms of choices and performances and if she does not change, she will disappear IMO.

That was not a bad performance, She was a flowerpot in the film..and she did full justice to the role she was given..it was no way a bad performance in my opinion. She was tolerable..and that's good enough since most actresses can go overboard and get annoying with roles like these.

But if I had to pick one, I would go with Alia any day. I watched SOTY and even though I thought she wasn't that great in the movie, she still had so much screen presence and potential. With Highway, she exceeded my expectations times a million. I would have never in a million years thought she will so good as she was. Veera is one most the beautifully written characters ever and def. my most favorite character in a long long long time and Alia did full justice to her. And just when I thought there was no way she could get any better, she stole the show once again in 2 States as the mature, level headed Ananya. And now she played the feisty, fiery patakha Kavya flawlessly. I love the fact she's trying different roles and she's excelling in them. She can give any top actress today a run for their money in my opinion, is a very graceful dancer, emotes so beautifully and she's absolutely gorgeous. I know people think she looks like a baby but she's an incredibly convincing actress and you just have to watch 2 States to see that. She is going to go a looong way not only because she has KJo backing her up but also because she has the passion and the drive to go forward which a lot of actors are missing these days.

As for Pari, she's a fantastic actress and when it comes to her acting, I have ZERO complains. But my one complain with her is that she doesn't experiment at all. All her roles seem the same to me and if she actually experiments, she will go a long way too. Also she's not as graceful of a dancer as Alia. Looks wise, she's very very pretty as well but she has that girl next door looks which is endearing in it's own sweet way.
