Raman was pacin' to n fro in his cabin thinkin' about a suitable gift for Ishita.
"Jhansi ki Rani ko toh sirf Talwar hi suit karegi.." He said to himself n added after a pause "Par kahin usi talwar se mera sarr kalam kar diya toh?.. Nai.. Kuchh aur sochna hoga.."
"Let's search" He grabbed his lappie n typed 'Gift for dentist'
The search engine gave him a suitable gift for a dentist but definitely not a suitable one for a wife and that too as the very FIRST Gift from the hubby to his wifey.
Raman ordered it n left a sigh of relief that finally the task given by his daughter was completed.

It was lunch hour when Raman reached home. Everyone was enjoyin' the delicious South Indian food except Simi. She was cravin' for her favourite non-vegetarian meal when she felt a tap over her head.
"Oye! Nakhre na kar.. Itne pyaar se usne banaya hai.. Kha le" Raman said authoritatively.
Simi apologized to Ishita for her tantrums n took the first bite.
"Papa, gift laaye?" Ruhi whispered in Raman's ears.
"Haan.." He took out a nicely wrapped up rectangular box.
"Ishi Maa, Papa aapke liye gift laaye.." Ruhi merely spoke drawin' everyone's attention towards her n Raman.
"Tumhare liye.." Raman forwarded the gift towards Ishita.
"Huh?" Ishita looked at Raman as if he had grew ten heads literally like Ravan.
"Papa aapko Sorry kehne ke liye laaye hain.." Ruhi tried to clear her Ishi Maa's confusion.
"Haan woh holi party pe jo bhi hua uske liye.." Raman said apologetically.
"Aap? Gift laaye hain? Mere liye?" Ishita raised her eyebrows, still not able to digest it.
A moment later, she opens the gift n laughs her heart out!
Laughter echoed in the Bhalla house for the next few minutes, Thanks to Raman's gift!
"An electronic toothbrush?" Simi laughed.
"Ye dentist hai.. is'se achha gift qa ho sakta tha iske liye.." Raman spoke in his defence.
"Thanq.. Thanq very much! That's so thoughtful of you!" Ishita grinned with gratitude.
"Ravan Kumar did put some effort .. Qa baat hai?" Ishita said to herself n marched towards their bedroom.
"Suniye.." Ishita spoke, that made Raman turn towards her.
"Really, Thanq for this gift!" She said showin' the gift n added "Aapne itna effort kiya.. Thanq very much!"
"Maine jo kiya, Ruhi ke liye kiya.. So don't thank me.." Raman shifted his attention back to his file.
"I know.. Sirf Ruhi ke liye.." Ishita sighed n opened the drawer to keep the gift.
"Ye qa kar rahi ho?" Raman moved to where Ishita was standin'.
"Rakh rahi hoon.. aur qa?" Ishita answered only to recieve another question from him.
"Woh mujhe bhi dikh ra hai.. But qu? Use karo na.." Raman snapped.
"I appreciate that you gifted me somethin'.. I respect your gift but do I look like an idiot who would use an electronic toothbrush knowin' that it's not good for my teeth?" Ishita snapped back.
Ishita didn't want to say that to Raman n make him realize that his gift is completely useless coz somewhere in her heart she felt really happy on recievin' the very first gift from her hubby.
Ishita immediately regretted what she jz said n before she could rectify her mistake, Raman had walked out of the room.
Ishita mentally slapped herself for behavin' like an idiot. She immediately picked up her cell n typed "Your gift is as precious as Ruhi's smile.. Do I need to say more?"
Raman was on his way downstairs when his cell beeped. Seein' Ishita's msg he stopped in his tracks to read it n after readin' he turned back on his heels.
Ishita's eyes were glued on her cell screen as she was eagerly waitin' for Raman's reply, only if she knew that Raman's reply was about to come live n not via some text.
"Ahhmm.." Raman cleared his throat in order to grab Ishita's attention.
"I knew, you would like it!" Raman grinned. "Bye.." He winked n left for his office, leavin' a blushin' Ishita with his gift held close to her heart.
