Totally agree with you! We as parents want to help our kids in their every decision, sometimes we do it for them. We want to make sure they do not fail in anything. We do not let them fall and learn. And in this day and age of technology - we keep on giving them what they ask for iphone, ipad, texting, facebook, videogames etc - without thinking do they need all this?

Infact since beginning i have always felt all Krishna's teaching pertains to all current situations...

Spot on. We try to ensure our kids/children are protected all the time, never allowing them to fall but in nature's law only when you fall, feel the pain, then you would know the important/value of each learnings.

We stay overseas, I got the next generation in my family hooked to the series. They watch it generally during the weekend online, their as well as my parents HIndi is a little murky, so they tend to re-watch when I'm around. I love the opportunity to explain the episodes and at the same time I'm learning too as the kids tend to ask pertinent questions.

Their whys are non stop. why Kunti gave away Karna? When she found out about Karna why she didn't take action? Why Karna joins the Kaurava's when he knows its not dharma? Why being the Lord, Krishna did not stop the war
