UPDATE 18 JUNE: Jassi gets invited

Jassi storms out of Ashmit Singhania's office and heads back to her hotel. Shaina is a little taken aback to see her in her flustered state.

Shaina: Ma'am…is everything ok? Mr. Singhania se baat hui?

Jassi: (grimly) Hui…aur ye bhi pata chal gaya ki yeh aadmi sif business jaanta hai…insaaf ya insaaniyat nahin!

Shaina: Ma'am, iss tarah pareshaan hone se toh kuch nahin hoga….mere paas ek idea hai!

Jassi looks inquiringly at her.

Shaina tells her she is sure that the land records have been forged, with the connivance of local officers. There are some discrepancies in the documents which make her think that the land might actually have been transferred to the weavers by the zamindar, whose ancestors are now trying to sell it to Singhania. But, probably because of the simplicity and the ignorance of the weavers, they never asked for any document proving their ownership. She suggests that she go to Shimla to check the records at the main office there. Surely there would be a record of the transfer somewhere. If she could get hold of the records, they might be able to prove that the weavers were the real owners of the land.

Jassi sits up excitedly. "That's a great idea…..tum kal subah ki Shimla ke liye nikal jao!"

Just then the bell boy knocks at the door. Jassi calls, "Come in!"

He walks in with an enormous bouquet of flowers and places it on the table. "Ma'am, she aapke liye deliver hue hai!"

As he walks out, a puzzled Jassi looks at the note attached to it. It says, "Aaj ki gustaakhi ke liye maafi chahta hun. Aapki baat theek se na sun kar maine apna hi nuksaan kiya hai. Kya aap please, aaj shaam mere ghar par ho rahe dinner pe aa kar, mere losses recover karne mein thodi madad kar sakti hai?"

Rolling her eyes, Jassi turns to Shaina. "Mr.Singhania ne mujhe dinner pe invite kiya hai….samajh nahin aa raha iss aadmi ke iraade kya hai!"

Shaina: Ma'am, I suggest aapko jaana chahiye….kya pata unhe Gulmohur se deal karne ka mauka nazar aa raha ho….issliye aapko bulaya hai….isme shayad hamara kaam bhi ban jaye."

Jassi: (thoughtfully) You're right. Main jaaungi….. (taps the card with her finger) Dekhe toh sahi, ye Ashmit Singhania kya chahta hai!

Hai, blyton, I hope you are really not angry with me. 😊

Great update though as usual. And I hope that Jassi doesn't land in a soup. But if she does, then I wonder if Kangra is going to be lucky to have Mr. Suri on their lucky lands!!!! Just like Bhadrapur was lucky Dev ke kadam unki zameen par gire!!! 😆 Hmmmm very appealing!!! 😍

Great update though. I don't like this Ashmit Singhania though!! 😕 🤢

Lovely update Blyti. 👏 This Shaina had one gd idea and then ruined it by encoraging Jassi to go to dinner at that duffer's house 😆 and bholi Jassi is just going to go as its part of her curious nature.
But the gd part is that i know that Jassi will need to be calling Armu to her rescue sometime soon! 😉

Nice update Blyton.. Well she goes to dinner at Ashmit's house and udhar Armu ka call ayeega and Shaina will take the phone and tell him that Madam has gone to Mr. A singania's house for dinner..Hmmmmmm now somthin will turn....

Lovely, btw...this Singhania guy is getting on my nerves...I don't like him at all - I'm sure Jassi will end up in some kind of kichdi...but now, I'm off to read June 19 as I can't wait any longer!
