I have been to Madhya Pradesh a number of times, and after every visit, I go back with a lot of good memories of this place. I was in Indore some time back and the kind of reception and warmth I got from the people here was overwhelming. Everyone suggested that I have the unique poha-jalebi combo. Although I was a little skeptical initially, now poha-jalebi is a must-have for me! This time I am going to Ujjain and I hope to pay a visit to the Mahakaal Temple. And finally, agar itna sab kuch karne ke baad thoda time bach jaye toh I am going to pick some beautiful Maheshwari saris. There's so much to do when you are in MP. It's truly a visitor's delight.Purposely stayed away from typical saas-bahu dramas! When I started my career with the a teenage drama, Hip Hip Hurray, I was very clear about one thing - I didn't want to do similar characters. Over the years, the television industry has undergone a tremendous makeover. Although the financial and technical aspects of making a serial have seen a boom, creativity has been lost. There was a time when there was so much variety on TV shows. But now, the producers and channels keep dragging the plot. That is why I have purposely stayed away form the typical saas-bahu dramas.Living the best days of my lifeI think, I am living the best days of my life. Personally and professionally, I am in a very happy space and I thank the Almighty for the right opportunities that He has given me. Even before TV happened, I was a theatre artiste, and I am glad that after being away from the stage for some time due to hectic shooting schedules, I am back to my first love - theatre. I have been able to directly reach out to the audience. I am happy that I didn't take the traditional route of first playing a coy bahu and then playing a bhabhi, saas and finally a granny!
