The major problem with any daily soap is, we audience have this illusion that the Creatives of the show have a story set in mind and they will stick to it. Sadly its not true. They sometimes(many times) change their tracks/storyline according to TRPs, or according to fan demands, or simply because they got a better idea and want to implement it. So I am not sure if the analysis or my observation in this post was intentional and written by the CVs or not. May be I am giving it too much importance. Nevertheless, its part of the story till now. Things can change, but the past cannot.
I like the fact that Zain & Aliya have gone through so many shades of Trust. They have proven me wrong too. Initially I always thought that in their love story, Hate -> Compromise -> Friendship -> Attraction -> Trust -> Confession -> Love -> Intimacy...that was how it progressed. But I was wrong. Each phase has its own shades. Since my topic is about Trust, I am gonna focus on just that.
Trust during hate: They barely trusted each other. Aliya believed the worst of Zain that he published her wardrobe malfunction. He trusted that whatever Aliya did was to establish herself firmly as his wife and try to snatch his freedom. But we saw the gradual change in them.
Trust during Friendship: It started out with the handshake at the railway station that they never hide anything from each other. Somehow, in their heart, they started trusting each other when the situation arose. The way they solved the whole Bavdi & Barkat track speaks for itself.
Trust during realization: Sadly, they dint explore much on trust issues then. But we got a glimpse of their ego issues. When Zain yelled at Aliya and she eventually forgave him. When she got upset with him and left for Bhopal, his initial refusal to go get her back. It shows how even though their trusted each other, they did not want to humble themselves to each other for certain matters.
Trust during Love: This one was a beautiful phase. Zain's implicit trust on Aliya and her character. That no matter what happen, no matter what anyone says, Aliya's character can never be tainted in his heart. And Aliya's trust on Zain that he would do the right thing by supporting her. Not because he should think Aliya is always right, but because that is the right thing to do. The way they handled Zubair's court issue is a fine example.
Today's trust: Today, too many things are piling up against Zain & Aliya. Some intentional(Suraiya), some unintentional(Nafeesa). But it comes down to, all the trust that they had earlier is being tested sorely. Where is the Zain who trusted that Aliya is doing things because that's the right thing to do in terms of humanity? Where is the trust in Aliya that Zain could never intentionally go against her or behind her back? Where is her trust that if she explained to Zain in calm manner, try to compromise with him, he will stay by her side?
Only time will answer us.
Will they realize their mistakes, understand where they went wrong and get back together?
Or
Will they for the time being compromise with each other and not really solving their issues? For family's sake?
What would we like to see as fans and audience? Its gonna be a wait and watch. I want them not to completely trust each other yet. To make it practical and realistic, no human being can simply trust the other person in just a day or two. But, adjustments should be there. As husband and wife, we adjust with each other, flaws or not. I want them to go through that. Hopefully their characters are given the right growth for that.
