Chapter 9
Arnav and Khushi made their way downstairs to the party venue with a hyper Alisha.
The party was in full swing. Everyone was busy dancing or drinking at the pub in the corner. Arnav noticed some guy waving at them. He looked at Khushi in confusion, who in return just shrugged.
Alisha looked around and notice someone waving. She got all excited and grabbed both their hands and made their way towards him.
She let go of both of them and hugged the guy. This act of Alisha made them even more confused. Seeing their confused faces, the man broke apart from Alisha and introduced himself.
"Hey, I'm Alisha's brother Nick or more commonly known as NK."
Nk said as he shook hands with Arnav. He then turned towards Khushi and checked her out. When both their eyes met, he gave one of his deadly smirks.
"And who is this fine lady standing in front of me?"
He gently grabbed Khushi's hand and placed a peck. This made Khushi giggle.
"I'm Khushi. It's nice to meet you too."
Khushi winked at Nk in a playful manner, which didn't go unnoticed by Arnav. For some odd reason it pricked him. It's not like he hasn't seen the playful and flirty side of Khushi. Khushi's been with many guys in the past, and for the most kissed in front of him. Arnav shaked the feeling out and tried to divert his mind from all this . He thought to ask khushi for a dance, but to his luck when he turned towards khushi, he saw her retreating to the dance floor with Nk.
Feeling dejected he turned towards Alisha, who signalled him to take a seat beside her. Alisha started to blabber on about her life while Arnav listened to her half heartedly while his whole attention was on Khushi. He fisted his hands when he saw Nk put his hand on her bare waist.
Arnav couldn't understand what was happening to him. Khushi's just his best friend nothing else. Why was he behaving this way?
"What the hell's wrong with me? Damnit Khushi's just my best friend. No Arnav stop it."
To clear his mind, he ordered a drink. He gulped it down in one go. He ordered another one. He gulped the drink one after another.
The closer Nk and Khushi danced the worse his state got. The music changed to a soft and slow song.
Khushi circled her hands around his neck, while he places his hands on Khushi's waist and pulled her closer to himself. That did it for Arnav. He got up and made his way across the floor to them and stood right in front of them. He cleared his throat and with a harsh but determined tone set them apart.
"Can I have this dance with my lady please?"
Nk was a little terrified of Arnav's tone and he didn't want to mess with him so he backed away and let them enjoy. Khushi was confused with Arnav's behaviour. Why was he acting like her boyfriend. The relationship didn't mean much to anyone of them. So why was Arnav acting strange.
Khushi was pulled out of her thoughts when Arnav pulled her closer to himself. Their faces were just millimetres away from each other. Noticing khushi still hadn't wrapped her hands around him, he grabbed both her hands and placed them around his neck.
He bent low, till his lips were levelled to her ears. He quietly whispered,
"Only I should have the right to dance with you no one else."
He started to sway their bodies with the rhythm of the music. He place his head in the crock of her neck.
At first khushi didn't pay attention to his behaviour at all. She thought he was joking around, but when she felt him place a wet kiss on her she froze in her spot.
She pulled back and cupped his face. She noticed that his eyes were droopy and he couldn't even stand straight without swaying side to side.
"Shyt he's drunk. This guy. My god he can't got one day without being drunk."
Khushi felt anger rise inside of her. She looked around and wave towards Nk to come here.
"What happens?"
"Uh-h can you help me take Arnav upstairs please? He's um drunk."
Khushi tried to explain for his actions. Nk nodded. As Nk tried to hold Arnav from the shoulders, he felt a shrug.
"No don't you dare touch me." Arnav said in anger.
Khushi's eyes widened in shock. What the hell's happening here.
"Arnav behave yourself."
"Bu-"
Khushi should him a stern stare which made him quiet up and let Nk help him.
As they made their way up Arnav was blabbering on about something, which no one paid any attention to. Soon they arrived at the door and khushi opened it.
They placed Arnav on the bed.
"Thank you so much Nk."
"No problem sweet chicks"
He placed a quick peck on her cheeks and left. Khushi couldn't help but giggle like a school girl.
"Khoochie."
Khushi turned around and glared at Arnav.
"Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada explain yourself right this moment."
"No firsst, khoochie kissy."
Arnav said grabbing her by the hand and pulling her towards him. This made khushi stumble and land on Arnav's lap.
"Nahi no kiss till you explain your actions to me."
Arnav pouted and acted like a stubborn kid.
"No first kissy then answer."
Khushi sighed, who could win against a drunk Arnav. He was more stubborn when drunk than he is in reality.
Khushi bent forward and placed a kiss on Arnav's lips.
"Happy? Now answer my question."
"Woh-h woh ummm...khoochie"
"Haan???"
He fingered her to come closer to him. As khushi obeyed, he pulled her into a hug and laid down.
"Arnav?"
Khushi was taken back by this sudden change of position.
"Khoochie shleep... I'm tireddd."
Soon Arnav dosed off, followed by khushi who was too tired to fight or argue.

The next morning, Arnav woke up to a Paining headache. He got up in a sitting position grabbing his head.
"Shyt I drank too much."
As he started massaging his head. He got flashes of last night. When he realized what had happened, his eyes went big in fear.
"Shit shit shit, God please save me from khushi this time. I promise I won't drink alcohol again. Wait no scratch that. I will drink in limit. Please save me."
With that Arnav ran into the washroom, scared of what was coming up.
