Fanaah - An Impossible Love Story Written Update July 21, 2014
The show begins with a girl running running across the forest and calls for Vivaan(Karan) and Vidyut(Ritvik) who are fighting. She calls for them to stop fighting but they continue to fight. Someone comes from background and says noone can stop this fight today. One of them has to die today and then asks her who is your true love, Vivaan or Vidyut. The guy again says that your true love will be sacrificed today. The scene moves to a group of college students trying to find who is Avni's true love. The narrator says that they will find her behind red carpet and she will take you to the moonstone (which is necessary to save Avni's true love and this world from destruction). The narrator says that she was the beginning of this story. A guy reaches that place and finds a painting of a princess Irawati and calls her Ira(Ratan). A flashback is shown where an unconscious Irawati was being taken towards Sati pyre by some men. She is placed on her husband's pyre while they continue to chant Sati mata ki jai. Irawati gains consciousness and finds herself on pyre and screams out that she does not want to die but the people there block her way and someone hits her head with a rod which makes her unconscious again. She falls back on the pyre and the villagers light fire to the pyre. But just then someone (the same guy who was shown behind Avni in the present) comes out and bites her saying he does not like death but he can't give life either. Irawati gets up from the pyre. She then goes to the house of those villagers who were burning her. She kills all of them and she is then shown as a vampire.
The scene moves to present where the same guy is shocked to learn that Ira is a vampire as he had been dating her for last 6 months. He is talking to some girl whose face is not shown and he says that Ira would never harm Avni's love. The girl says to understand this problem you have to understand Vivaan. Flashback of a teenage Vivaan (who died in 1997) is shown and he is shown talking to his jiju who is telling about some old haveli whose focus was Preet madam(Anita) and that her love was a unique one. Vivaan asks then what happened to the haveli that it became ruined. His jiju says that people say different things but the only thing that is known is that Preet madam's love story had a very bitter end on a full moon night. he further says he doesnt know if anyone is even alive in that haveli. But Preet is shown to be lighting candles and is in a dishevelled condition. She is walking around in a melanchonly way and then sits at the balcony and then calls out to someone in anguish. Vivaan's jiju continues to tell that now noone wants to even step near the haveli fearing for his life. In next scene Vivaan's did is scolding him for giving his roti to a stray dog. Vivaan says that he would go hungry that day. Vivaan then is thinking why his sister behaves this way when he overhears his siter telling his jiju that Vivaan's pet dog has run away. He goes to his friend Randhir's home to go in search of his dog, but his father stops Randhir saying its a full moon night and its about to be midnight. He makes Vivaan go from there and locks Randhir in a prison saying he cant understand yet why he cant leave in midnight on a full moon night.
Vivaan goes to search for his dog alone and reaches the haveli. He remembers his jiju's words that nobody goes inside the haveli anymore but he says he has to find his dog and so enters the haveli and just then he sees Preet shouting where are you. he gets scared and starts to run and overturns a lantern which starts spreading fire in the grass. He sees a girl in white dresss sitting there in front of candles with a blank expression not noticing the fire around her. Vivaan somehow manages to douse the fire but the girl continues to just sit there blankly. The fire is about to reach her feet when Vivaan throws a cloth there. The girl finally comes out of her reverie and gets up. she gives him a blank expression and enters the haveli while Vivaan continues to gaze at her.
