The story of Prithviraj Chauhan starts before his birth and ends at his death, chronicling 26 eventful years of his life. It was Dr Ramanand Sagar who started work on the project in 1996. Though he did most of the initial research, he did not live to see the actual production. Most of the episodes have been shot at Filmcity Baroda on two specially erected floors complete with a look-alike palace of Ajmer, deserts and lakes, all spread out across the 40- acre land. 👏 The art designer for the series is Omung Kumar who also did Sanjay Leela Bhansali?s Black recently. Everything down to the flowers in the palace have been placed keeping 12th century in mind. There are over 150 running characters on the show who are being attended to by a team of four costume designers.😲
The sets, costume and jewelry alone has run up a bill of almost Rs 5 crore. 😲...(lol....now its like a movie's budget😉).....(btw...still our sanyo has only 5 or 6 dresses...🤔) The primary reference material for the series has been Chand Bardai?s Prithviraj Raso which was written during the emperor?s time.😃 The cloth for one of Someshwar (Prithviraj's father) outfits had to be sourced from Banaras.😳 Its a brocade pattern that disappeared from the looms over a 100 year ago. 😲 The music for the series has been composed by Ravindra Jain and the songs will be released in the form of an album along with the show. 👏

The show marks the comeback of a number of screen names. Jas Arora plays Someshwar, Milind Gunaji has been cast as Vijaychandra while Nirmal Pandey plays Mohammad Ghori. Prithviraj Chauhan is played by Angad Bedi. (...lol....now rajat tokas .😛..not angad bedi.....guys dis is old info...dats why angad bedi is written!😊)

BTW, I might kno' the reasons for sanyo's 5 outfits out of 5 crore budget. 😊

u see, the mature sanyo was supposed to be the main sanyo previously. New perticular dresses with a great research from designers were made for her.

and looking at that, mugdha's dressed do look a lil ordinary if u ask me. even sometimes kamalawati's dresses look more posh than hers.. (I hv a feeling few of kamalwati's dresses which she wore many days ago were originally made for - sanyogita charactor. ) The reson I beleive this is I came across one aricle where the fashion desinger was describing everyones outfits etc. .. that included Someshwar, kamalawati, sanyo's dadi, angad bedi and rajat (as young prc) too.. but no young sanyo was mentioned. as there wasn't any plan of introducing her young.
