CHAPTER 12
Kriya woke at the ringing of alarm clock. She reached out and turned it off.While turning around she looked at Rey who was him sleeping peacefully when she felt something heavy on her waist. She glanced down to find his hands wrapped around her protectively.She grinned to herself but let the arms stay there itself.That moment she felt something very different that she never felt before.She felt so safe in his arms. Laying on her back ,she stared at the ceiling and glancing at the clock ,she figured it was time for her to get out of bed,.she slowly moved Rey's arm to avoid waking him then crept out of bed, she picked out some clothes from her cupboard then left the room and went to the washroom to take a shower.
Rey heard the washroom door shut which woke him up.As he opened his eyes slowly,he found the bed empty and he figured it was Kriya who had shut the washroom door. Stretching out his arms before getting up, he yawned and left the room.He stood against the wall and knocked on the door to the spare room, when he got no reply he spoke.
"Karan, you awake?"
Rey waited for a brief second for a reply, he hesitated but opened the door to find Karan sprawled over the bed on his front, the duvet was on the floor and one of his arms was hanging off the bed, Rey chuckled to himself and decided to let Karan sleep, he pulled the door shut then leaned back against the wall. He glanced over at the washroom door, Kriya would take ages in the washroom, there was no sense in him just standing around aimlessly, he rubbed the back of his neck then went back into his room and got back into bed.
Half an hour later the washroom door unlocked, Kriya let her hair hang loose by the side of her face, she had a towel in her hand to dry her hair, she opened the door to her room and found Rey still sleeping, she had heard him earlier knocking on Karan's door, she presumed that since Karan didn't wake up that Rey went back to sleep. She sat on the edge of the bed and began drying her hair, she turned her face towards Rey.
"Rey wake up"
She heard him mumble under the covers, she shook her head and walked over to the curtains and pulled them apart, the sunlight shone into the room lighting it up like a candle, she peeked at Rey and watched as he pulled the covers over his head, Kriya giggled to herself, she left the towel on the chair and went over to him, she sat next to him and shook him lightly
"Rey...sweetie, get up"
Rey groaned under the covers causing Kriya to pull them off of him, he glared at Kriya who was smiling away.
"Rey udo na...pls"
"Kriya let me sleep" he was about to cover his face again when he felt water droplets falling on his face from her hair...
"Kriya stop it yaar..." she didn't stop but let that water droplets on his face.
"Kriya.." he pulled her closer by her waist as she crashed on to his chest.
"What were you doing?" he asked to which she couldn't reply anything as she was already hypnotized with his touches on her bare waist..
Slowly decreasing the distance between he captured her lips with all passion he had.

Before him turning into a wild cat ,she got up and walked over to the chair and picked up the towel and continued to dry her hair.
Rey smiled at himself and finally got out of bed, he stood by the cupboard and watched Kriya standing in front of the mirror drying her hair, she looked so innocent and sweet, it wasn't the sunlight lighting up the room, according to Rey at that moment it was her smile, it was doing wonders for him at that moment. He continued to stare as she shook her head lightly causing water droplets to fall on her face, she pushed her hair back and picked up a hair tie and slipped her hair into it, Rey quickly stepped forward and stood behind her, he reached up and slipped the hair tie off, he leaned closer and spoke softly.
"It looks better if you leave it open"
Kriya looked at Rey then back at her reflection in the mirror, she agreed and put the hair tie back, Kriya turned to leave but Rey was still there blocking her path, she levelled her eyes with his and spoke softly
"Rey, I have to go make breakfast"
"I know" he replied huskily
Rey raised his finger and trailed it along the side of her face, he tucked a loose strand behind her ear and wiped off the few droplet of water left on her face, he lowered his face closer to her, his eyes were fixed on her lips, she bit her bottom lip as Rey inched closer, their lips were just centimeters apart, Kriya closed her eyes as Rey breath fell on her face.
The knock on the door caused Kriya to open her eyes, she stepped back as Karan opened the door, Rey closed his eyes and stepped away from Kriya, he turned and smiled at Karan.
"Good morning Karan"
Karan smiled back and wished them both a good morning, he watched as Kriya awkwardly picked up the towel and hastily left the room, he looked at Rey and saw him rub his hand over his face.
"You ok Rey?"
Rey nodded his head and began making the bed, Karan waited patiently by the door for Rey to finish. Rey walked over to him and told him to have breakfast, as Rey was about to walk off Karan placed a hand on his shoulder, Rey stopped and turned and faced him
"Did I walk in on something? Were you and Kriya..."
"No" Rey cut him off, he repeated the answer in a much softer tone before heading downstairs leaving Karan in thought, Karan shook his head and made his way downstairs.

"So Karan what are you planning on doing here"
Kriya asked as she handed him a cup of tea and some toast, Karan took a piece and sipped his tea.
"Well, I initially came to see Rey, but now I'm here I thought I would visit my family in Delhi before heading back to the States"
"So you're here for a vacation?"
Karan nodded his head and continued eating his breakfast, he glanced at Rey and noticed he hadn't touched his breakfast, he nudged him and asked if everything was ok, Rey glanced at Kriya then looked back at Karan and smiled and nodded his head.
Karan put the cup on the table and stood up
"Rey I have some pictures I want you to see, I'll just go get them"
Karan left the kitchen and headed upstairs, Rey picked up the empty cups and took them to the sink, he began rinsing them with water when Kriya placed her hand on his arm, he stopped and looked at her
"Are you ok Rey?" She asked, Rey nodded his head, he was doing a lot of that, Kriya smiled and leaned up and ksised his cheek, she stayed there for a brief second before sitting at the table.
Karan sat on the sofa in between Rey and Kriya as he pulled out the pictures from the envelope, he handed them to Rey who began looking at them
"They're of the last time we went Shimla remember? We took them and I told you I would get them developed, but I had to go back to the US suddenly and didn't get the chance, when I decided I was coming to visit I made sure I had them done"
Rey agreed and the two of them began poiting out things on the pictures and commented on what they were doing, they laughed at some of the funny faces the had pulled at the camera.
Kriya watched the pair of them giggle over the photographs, she smiled as she watched Rey smile and laugh, it made her so happy when he smiled. The two had finished looking at the pictures and Rey announced he had the videos of when they went, he jumped up and began searching through his dvd collection, Karan put the pictures on the table and went over to help him, Kriya picked the pictures up and began looking through them, she grinned seeing Rey's silly faces, she stopped grinning when she held a particular photo in her hand, she ran her finger over it. It was of Karan standing in front of a shopping centre in Shimla, she looked at it closely and her face lit up
"I've been here!" Kriya exclaimed.
Rey found the dvd, he stood up and was about to walk over to the dvd player when he heard Kriya, he looked confused, he glanced at Karan and handed him the dvd then went over and sat by Kriya, she handed him the photo
"I've been here Rey, I Know I have, I remember going to that shopping centre and buying a skyblue scarf with matching gloves because it was cold"
"Kriya that was before the accident" Rey announced, he leaned forward and held her hand and asked her to see if she remembered anything else.
"I was with..."
Kriya began thinking of who she was with, she closed her eyes but shook her head.
"I don't remember who I was with...I was with you right?"
Kriya looked at him, her eyes were searching for an answer, he smiled softly and nodded his head, Kriya reached over and hugged him then ran out of the room, Rey looked back at the photo and slumped back on the sofa and closed his eyes, Karan watched closely, he went over and put his hand on Rey's arm, Rey opened his eyes and spoke.
"She was with Rohan Bhai"
Rey looked at the picture in remorse, he wasn't sure how to react, Kriya had remembered something from before the accident, it was a good thing, it meant she could regain her memory, but at that moment Rey didn't know if he wanted it to happen. He sighed and closed his eyes and put on a brave face, Karan tried to speak but Rey shook his head, he reached out and picked up his phone and rang Kriya's doctor and arranged for an appointment. He hung up and looked at Karan
"Karan...is it a bad thing...?"
"What Rey?" Karan asked after Rey's voice trailed off, Rey looked back at him with fear in his eyes
"...is it bad that I don't want her to get her memory back?"
Rey looked confused, Karan was speechless, before he could say anything Rey left the room, Karan went after him but Rey grabbed his jacket and his keys and began leaving the house, Karan cursed under his breath and shouted to Kriya that they were going out before grabbing his jacket and heading out after Rey.
