Reason for Durga's engagement.

I think I know why they are introducing Amir Ali as Durga's fianc. The more I thought about it the more I think it is Durga's plan to take Shorya's attention away from Dev. Since Durga will realise soon that Dev did not betray her and that the jealously she tried to create for Shorya has taken murderous heights, I feel she will try to introduce this new character to distract Shorya from Dev. A way to protect him.

Also in the video clip which shows that Dev comes back to the Goenka house he is holding Nitya's diary which means that Durga trusts and believes in him, so she would definitely want to protect him.

I was thinking the same and I even commented somewhere something similar. Now it's quite obvious with today's last scene plus the locket scene, she will realize that Dev is not guilty. And as she will get to know that Shaurya is behind the attacks, she will definitely plan something to save him.

Same thought has occurred to me too.

Durga is going to realize her error in judging Dev and she will have this engagement to protect him.

There is still the demented Shaurya to contend with of course but I hope he will have learned by now that trying to kill some one and getting away with it is not as easy as he thought.

And I hope Durga or Shakshi make Shaurya sweat a lot for committing this attempted murder.

It is really time to make this Moronic Sociopath realize that he cannot get away with his behaviour.
