What a start, entire team take a bow 👏
It sure is understatement to say Big B is impeccable when it comes to acting. No must find some other words. The intensity he sets in a second as he comes on screen is simply marvelous !
Very first scene, waking up from sleep. Has he simply waken up due to bad dream or he is really waking up to some realization?
Next scene, even better ! Staring in mirror, analyzing the man he sees. Has changes in his life, his image been so apparent to him he himself is unable to recognize himself? Does he need to remind himself every now and then he is Yudh !!
I like "Shanti Construction" never gets old, very apt as In Trishul was a man battling, years have passed but the attitude, intensity in eyes have sustained if not grown !
As episode progressed we come to learn more of this man. His business, his ethics, his principles, his support, his illness, his weaknesses, his enemies, his uncompromising nature, his family, his sense of responsibilities, his legacy !
So many shades to unravel, so many shades to be portrayed, so many shades to watch and be amazed.
The name itself is very apt, Yudh. Man is fighting so many battles on personal front, family front, political front, business front and best of all is within himself.
Yudh is also man who has whole lot to hide; something we sense from almost all characters. Its not hiding in sense because it is wrong, more like we have yet to get the bigger picture. We have been provided with so many avenues show will go to explore and they all seem enticing.
I also liked the shades of glasses. The dark shades were worn when Yudh is analyzing situation or opponents like bridge scene and later with politician. He does not want to give away through his eyes. May be its just Big B who gives this image of more than just a shrewd businessman.
I said Yudh, man unwilling to be restrained. Why as we saw unwilling to accept bridge built by someone else as not my problem. The sense of accountability for people and also later 10,000 employees. The mining matter, let whatever issues may come, he will dig. The family front, wife's expectations, daughter's disappointments perhaps; unwilling to give into them so easily. His illness, knowing it is inevitable yet won't give up. We also hear about his dreams, man never too old to dream about anything.
So to sum it all up, Yudh a man who has lot to battle for, who has lot to lose, lot to hold on to, whole lot to keep it together and even lot to gain and maintain (his legacy). This is going to be one heck of a ride !!
Before anyone may say all abt Big B as Yudh only 😲 what to do, pankhe jo thehre aur sir ji kaam hi aisa karte he ki kya kare, can't stop 😆
Do like the overall cast. Anand the right hand man seems very interesting, Mona Wasu fits the role and different than previous roles. Kay Kay Menon character seems of realist. Other family members, too early to say anything yet.
SO I end it here, hopefully will get many more chances to write more !!
