She felt herself blush and got off his lap before sitting right beside him.
"Let's go up then," she said, reaching out to hold his hand, but he removed it from his lap quickly and walked upstairs.
Confused about what happened, she followed him upstairs, wondering if he had a problem with something. She wanted to be there for him if he did. She followed him to his room and locked the door behind them.
He sat down on the bed and Sanyukta walked up to him and sat on his lap, her arms circling his neck once again. She kissed him on the cheek.
"Is everything okay Randhir?" she asked, feeling his arms wrap around her body. She felt his head rest on her shoulder, and she rubbed his back gently.
"Sanyukta," he whispered, holding on to her more tightly. She could feel the emotion in his voice, and she suddenly feared that something bad happened.
"Randhir, what happened?" she urged, stroking his hair lovingly. "Please tell me."
He pulled back from the hug a bit and looked into her eyes, and Sanyukta could see fear in them.
"I need you," he told her desperately, "Please don't ever leave me."
She shook her head and placed her hand on his lips. "I'll
never leave you," she whispered sincerely, "I promise."
Then it hit her that the reason that he was like this was because he had trust issues. It wouldn't be so easy to gain faith in her once again, even if he was trying. She had to make him
believe.
"Where were you this morning Randhir?" she asked him, cupping his cheek.
"I went for a drive," he said, looking away from her.
She nodded and kissed his forehead.
"We'll give the maid the day off for the rest of the day, okay Randhir?" she asked him. "I want to spend the day with you. I want to do everything for you myself. I want to cook for you."
He looked into her eyes as if he was searching for something, then ended up nodding.
"Good," she said, stroking his cheek. "Now, please smile."
He smiled at her and hugged her tightly once again. Her heart melted. She knew that it was hard for him to trust her, but she was determined to do everything that was in her power to regain that faith. She was wrong, and she was ready to pay for everything.
She got up from his lap and was about to leave when he grabbed her wrist to stop her. Turning around, she noticed his eyes beg her to stay. Walking back to him, he tugged on her wrist, pulling her down on the bed on top of him.
"Randhir, that hurts," she gasped, feeling her body hurt from the soreness.
"What happened? Are you okay?" he asked her, sounding concerned.
He tucked her hair behind her ear as she nodded. "I'm okay Randhir, just a little sore from last night."
At the mention of last night a cocky smile occupied his face. He turned the both of them over and kissed her on the lips fiercely. Slightly wincing in pain, she kissed him back with equal force, wanting to devote her whole being into making him happy.
Pulling back he looked into her eyes. "You are only a little sore right... does it hurt a lot?" he questioned, raising his eyebrows.
She grabbed his shirt and pulled him back down on top of her, smirking. "Randhir Singh Shekhawat, don't make
your Sanyukta wait in bed," she said giggling.
Without saying a word, he attacked her neck with kisses, pulling the strap of her dress down and kissing her shoulders. He put the strap back up and looked into her eyes once again, seeming unconvinced.
"Are you sure?" he asked her.
She nodded. "Yes Randhir!" she said, willing to sacrifice every bit of her own pain for him.
He smiled and tugged her dress up, bringing his face down to kiss her thighs. She grabbed his bedsheets tightly, feeling more pain than desire, but she didn't say a word, because she didn't want to be an obstacle for him anymore.
When he entered her under her dress this time, she felt her eyes begin to tear up. It was very painful, but she took deep breaths and held him against her, the warmth of his body being the only source of comfort she needed. Sensing that something was wrong, Randhir stopped what he was doing and examined her face.
"Sanyukta," he said, shocked that she was crying. "What happened?"
"Don't pull out!" she warned.
Randhir looked at her with concern but hovered over her motionlessly.
"Please continue Randhir... if you love me you'll continue," she told him.
"For me or for you?" he asked her suspiciously. "I'm not going to do something you aren't okay with."
"For me dammit!" she yelled, holding him tightly. "Please Randhir, don't stop! I'm telling you myself that it's more than okay."
He hesitated for a few moments and then nodded before continuing. Soon he finished and collapsed on the bed beside her. He pulled her close to him, as she winced in pain again with the force of the pull, but she leaned into his chest, inhaled his scent and smiled.
She loved doing things for him, even if it was at her own expense. It gave her a strange sense of satisfaction.
"Sanyukta," Randhir asked her quietly, "You're okay right?"
"I can't be more okay than this," she whispered, meaning it.
She might not have felt okay physically, but mentally, she was more than okay.
She kissed his neck before getting off him and fixing her dress. "I'll tell the maid that she has the rest of the day off," she told him with a smile. He nodded and kissed her hand before getting up with her and pulling his pants on.
She was glad that she could do something for him, and in her mind, she was starting to make up for all the pain that she had caused him all these years. She wouldn't tell him though, because if she did, it would only hurt him more, and she couldn't let him be hurt. No, she would pull him out of his darkness now, and not let him delve deeper into it.
