"Paro?" Rudra whispered as he stretched out his arm to find the other half of the bed empty. He grumbled when he looked around the room and saw Paro's absence. Just when he was about to get up off the bed Paro came in with a wooden tray in her hands. She was wearing a pale yellow dress that came to her pale knees. The colour yellow gave off a radiant glow on her face. Her thick black hair all straightened and left out, a few strands tucked behind her ears that adorned the butterfly earrings Rudra had gifted her not so long ago. The swelling of her tummy caused her to waddle to him. Rudra's lips curved into a smile, nothing made him happier than to see his beautiful wife carrying their unborn child.
Paro came and sat beside him on the bed, "you've gotten so lazy since taking a break from BSD, look at the time! You should be having lunch now not breakfast" she said smiling while giving Rudra his morning cup of tea. "Do you blame me Paro? We went out at a ridiculous time last night just to satisfy your cravings. Who wakes up in the middle of the night and demands ice cream? Only you would" rudra said in a teasing voice.
"Haaw, it is not me. I am only asking for things your child is asking for. I can already tell they're going to be mischievous like you"
"oh really?" Rudra smirked. "yes" Paro replied.
"Now come on, finish your tea. Lots to do today, you promised that we would go baby shopping today. We need to visit Maasa today too remember? We haven't gone to see them in two weeks!" Paro exclaimed
"Yes Paro I remember, they're so excited to meet their grandchild" Rudra chuckled, "they'll be shocked to see how big you've gone in these couple of weeks"
Paro smiled.
"You get ready, I won't be long" Rudra took the tray and the cup of tea and headed out the room.
Paro got out of her dress and put on a simple baby blue saree, trying to cover as much of the bump as possible. She plaited her hair and left it to the side. She looked down on the floor and saw that one of her earring had fallen out, she tried to bend down and pick it up. But that was almost physically impossible due to the baby bump getting in the way. "I'll get it" Rudra called out, he picked up the earring and put it through her ear. Tucking a strand of Paro's hair during the process
"Beautiful" he smiled, she blushed.
"Ready to go?" Rudra asked, Paro nodded.
"Chalo, let's go then"
I'll leave it as that for now, let me know what you think and if I should continue. Thank you for reading! š
