There are a lot of viewers who want the main couple to be together for whatever reasons. But to me, I do not like the fact that it would not teach people a life lesson.
Why should the writers of the show glorify the fact that a man could physically abuse his wife and cheat on her with numerous prostitutes only to end up with her in the long run because she was able to display her love for him? It is time to take a stance on abuse and they should be willing to have a show where not everyone has to have a love story.
Has anyone ever watched the movie "Provoked?" That is where the relationship is headed.
Now, Urmi should forgive Samrat for all that he did to her. However, she should not forgive him because she wants to give him a chance. She should forgive him because she would like to be free.
Movies such as "Diary of A Mad Black Woman" are great examples of women who were able to forgive their abusive husbands without returning to the relationship. And I would like to see Urmi as a champion who does not need a man to validate her life.
Thoughts on this.
