Ok here goes...after reading all these wonderful stories how can i keep quiet!
I know my hubby from when i was 5 yrs old...The families were distantly related and we saw each other almost every summer during vacations and family functions. Zyaada bhaav nahin dethe the ek dusre ko, was friends with his siblings, but this guy never talked or paid attention. Mujhe bhi aise log bhaathe nahin the, jo mere parvah nahin karthe. Little did i know that he was seriously infatuated by the time he was in his teens and slowly it started showing bcos cousins would start the usual teasing and giggling when we were around. Thab jaake mein dar gayi...our is a very traditional family and all this is not allowed to proceed...!! But to be honest, i was enjoying the attention to the core(LOL) but acting like I had no idea. By the time college happened life got busier and the meetings became less frequent. I kept missing him, and wondering if the attraction was still on. And Bang, one day, we meet somewhere unexpected...and the feelings were not only tenfold, but mutual now! Though he would have liked it, i didnt want any adventure and wanted things to happen only through the proper channel, bcos my parents were as dear to me as him and i didnt have the guts to approach them myself. So it kept going on and on for yrs at stalemate...Parents by then knew our interests but trusted us too much to do anything negative but neither took it serious enough to do something about it. I got my job first, he had gone to finish his higher studies...The day he landed a job he came to meet me at work with a proper propsal and plan to proceed from there on. We did have many hurdles to cross inspite of the families knowing each other etc etc, but managed to get a shaadi the way we wanted with all our family and friends together. Life has taken us thru so much, but we have dealt with everything together and have two lovely kids to share this joy.Akdoo hai, also is the most unromantic guy i know, but somehow clicked for me...like many people said...puts up with me and my antics!!Didnt realise I wrote so much, bear with me!!
Such a cute story.. I can see it happening before my eyes. Holding Teddy hostage & gum in hair awww cho chweetMy mom has 2 friends. They've remained very close and an absolutely awesome trio since they were 16. Amongst the three friends' children, my twin sister (non identical) and i were the only girls. Mums friends have always had a soft spot for us. They would love buying cute clothes and toys when were still little. ( They do still shower us with an abundance of love and random presents)
I am told ( I DO NOT remember this) i met my non-moochiya when i was all of 4 and he was 7. He took my red teddy bear hostage ( which his mom had bought) and threatened to drown it. Needless to say there was a lot of screaming and i apparently sat on him and refused to get up till he gave my bear back. We saw each other occasionally after that at birthday parties and random get togethers till i was 13. Then because of the age gap i think i ceased to exist for him. I was this tall gawky kid with big hands and feet😆. They moved to another state. I still saw his mom frequently but not him or his siblings.
I was 19 when we met again at moms other friends sons wedding. I plastered mehendi all over this dhoti like thing he was wearing. And things kind of progressed from there. Friends to best friends to now husband and wife. ( His mother did keep dropping plenty of hints😆). We've been married three months 11 days now.
He's 6'2 and does not sport a mooch but does very well with a stubble, which i REALLY love.
There it is. My boring story.
