Why Shantanu will not fall for Paro

First off, I posted this on Sherrys thread, but am making a topic out of this! Thanks Sherry?, next, I am kinda hijacking Napsters title theme of why! Sorry Navin dear!
Here is why he will not fall in love with Paro...

1. He says as he is staring at her thru the window... Bhaiya app hi ne toh sikhaaya tha.. Do cheez bahut shiddat se karte hain, mohabbat aur nafrat... This means that he knows exactly what his brother was up to, and that still does not justify Paro in his eyes. I mentioned this in napsters post today. These people are ok with women being dispensable, of being sold. He doesnt care! All he cares about is that his brother was killed and his widow married the killer. Its the ultimate insult, the ultimate betrayal. We are talking small border towns here, people, not some urban slick setting. Revenge is the life blood of these people. They do not forgive.

2. Mala has seen him somewhere before. This will be one of the outs. There is no doubt now that he is a fake BSD officer.

3. He almost killed Danveer because he thought his cover was blown. Adding credence to my theory that he probably killed Mr. j&K and stole his identity before coming to Chandangarh. The BSD has infiltrators in high positions! See 2. Supra.

4. He tears the dupatta in rage because he heard Paro say that the man her husband killed was a desh drohi. That is the truth. He is not shocked. He is angry! Which means, he knows and is part of the gun running racket.

5. Varun telling Paro that he had a BCom and lived in a small town... Lol! I remember the Thakur patiently explaining to Paro ... If the byaah was a lie, thrn the groom must also be fake!

And Rudra bristling with suspicion! The fencers take their positions and then the duel starts... Feint, thrust, parry... Carry on, Rudra and Shantanu... i am so glad that until now Rudra is still playing true to character. But remember, he was betrayed by his own parents... He will not trust anyone so easily. And he truly, viscerally believes that no one can protect Paro better than him. The doctor at the BSD has taught him not to trust anyone. So, game on!

On a side note, I am curious.. Why is it so all-fired enticing if Shantanu falls for Paro? Will she get any more depth to her character if he does? Will it make her more desirable in the viewers eyes? Validate her as a heroine? Heighten Rudras desire and love for her? Prove her magical touch? I do not think that its important that everyone should love Paro. I think its important that Rudra loves her with all his heart and soul, because she loves him that way.

Jealousy is not attractive. It is corrosive and weakens relationships. A Rudra who trusts nobody, who trusted Paro enough to open his heart to her, becoming jealous shows the destruction of that trust.

The villain has many more devious and evil things to do than do a volte face and fall in love with
Paro. He needs to torture the family... To corrode their minds, to destroy the gossamer threads of harmony that have only just materialized in the family... Needs to make Paro and Rudra suffer before he finishes them off. So an abduction, a separation... All great main courses for this track!

Asmanichatri in napsters thread used a line from the promo...translated roughly to mean , you can run as much as you want, but if you come near the border to cross it, you will find me blocking your way.

I kind of think that will play out in the end.

Completely agree! Especially with #1 and also with jealousy not being attractive! It's cute enough in certain scenarios in screen but not when it's scary obsession!

ur points are justified , but i guess cvs will bring this jealously track , may be shantanu will realize that paro is a nice girl and his brother was evil and guilt will soon turn into love , dnt know shes pretty and hes young a spark is always expected 😆 or may be he'll pretend to be falling in love with her just to make rudra jealous, create MU and ruin him .

Thank you for saying that, I also believe this. Besides it is hard to bring MU between a couple who as Rudra said once:Paro nahin to Rudra nahin. Nahin jee sakta tere bina, nahin jeena chata tere bina. He knows he is her everything, and repeatedly he let her know he feels the same.

BI, everything from the episodes and actors remarks is pointing to a revenge track, not jealousy track. The articles about shantanu and Paro are all speculation. You second option seems most likely. Shantanu already knows his brother is evil! Either way though, MU is not the way to go. Not for this story. 😃 But perhaps I hope too much?

Looking forward to this track...As you say, Jealousy doesn't prove one's love..it just shows weak trust...and Rudra-Paro are way beyond that...

Yep. Terror, separation, abduction...enough to elicit lots of emotions and intensity...

The thing this villian would do if da trp's let him stay long enough is make rudra and paro suffer slowly by doing things.

Thank you, B77! Exactly! He cannot live without her. And she loves him more than life itself. Then shantanu falling for Paro is redundant!

Ladies, control yourselves about the dimples! 😆
