Agree,
GH is very predictable and boring
Have been watching only Paro scenes this week and the the rest is in FF mode
Dont want only romance but whatever written and shown should hold your interest that is simply lacking in this week episodes for me
Hope the TRP aunties enjoy it

Wish u a speedy recovery FLS!
Agree with rest of the board here, I watch RR for poor Sanaya who always seems to end up with getting short shrift all her hard work and dedication - hope the Gods smile upon her soon and she gets what she deserves!

Perhaps in GH's case it should read, creativity thy name drips of chauvinism.

Hey Swathi. Take care girl. Hope your wrist feels better soon.

Interesting questions here. I generally go into a lurking mode... or quit IF completely when the show begins to disappoint. Don't want to ruin it for those who are still watching and enjoying the show. No wonder I have only a little over 1K posts in the past 7 years 😛

Anyway, the team has lost interest, just biding time until BB... and it clearly shows. It started a downward spiral with the one foot tapasya in the rain thing followed by the forced marriage... and never really could recover. What worked in ST's previous show would not necessarily work for this one. GH loses interest in his shows after a point, and we are treated to completely nonsensical tracks.

The major fault in the show is imbalance. Paro's story has completely been glazed over. We rarely get to see her POV. Using the female lead as a means to an end does not get the TRPs. The desi soap audience connects with the woman, her trials, her tribulations. They do not have the patience like we online audiences do to wait for the story to unfold... if it ever will. AS's participation was the perfect chance, but they just ended up blowing it.

Coming to AS's participation in JDJ, I would not really blame him. A lot many here wanted Sanaya to participate in JDJ this year. If she had, and the show would be in a state it is currently now, I am sure they would have sided with her. I am neither a Sanaya fan, or an Ashish fan. My comments are from a neutral point of view. Read an interview of his in the papers. The man dedicates 12 hours a day (8-8) to the show and 8pm-3am for the JDJ practice. 12 hours a day, and if they still need to use body doubles... something is seriously wrong with the time management of the PH.

On a different note, caught a byte from Anupam Kher on his upcoming chat show. On being asked the kind of questions he would pose, he said he would not like to ask uncomfortable questions. 'But that would not get the TRPs!!'. Loved his retort... 'Let the show not get TRPs... Let it be a flop... I refuse to compromise on the essence of the show and my ethics for TRPs.' If only TV show producers believed so. We would not be forced to watch the kind of shows that are on air now.

There is something wrong and unfortunately it is endemic to all desi serials - these guys work 25-26days a month for 12 hours at a stretch and more if required and they still face issues with creating a bank of episodes. For something like RR (+ the show that should not be named), I really do wonder why they do not move to telenovela format - there is a story to tell here, tell it in a 3, 6 or 9 month time frame and then move on. In that case, we the audience feel satisfied at having a chance to watch something of quality (hopefully), the actors and crew are not drained out, and there is a chance for second season if the PH comes up with something substantial to warrant one.
Leave the daily soap/serials to DABH, SNS, etc...which is what the TRP aunties love anyway.

At least this way, there is something for everybody. The channels measurement scales are totally off!

hey Swathi 🤗Hope you are feeling better.. heal your wrist and get well soon dear...

Not sure why the PH keeps revealing all the plots even before the episodes hit the air... what was the need to announce who the "Ek villain" was.. why not let the plot unravel on screen... ?

I don't like the fact that Rudra uses Paro as his bait and this is not the first time he has done so... given the fact that Rudra has never apprehended even one terrorist alive he should re-consider his actions..

Writers are also creating all these side stories to buy time when the ML is doing the other show... I am not opposed to Maithili/Samrat plot but I hope something good comes out of it.. at least they should show that it is not Maithili but Samrat who has an issue.. then lets see what Mohini is going to do... will she hunt for a groom for Maithili? 😡

The PH was known to have a fairly good episode bank for their shows. For their other show, the episode bank was large enough to accommodate DD's JDJ participation and the male lead's break for his wedding. Unfortunately with RR, the tracks are tweaked or dumped based on the TRPs every week.

I really hope with the new channels that are coming up, they follow the limited episodes format. The typical TRP shows are dime a dozen, creating a channel for the niche audience would be refreshing. Pipe dream??
