According to the spoilers, Rudra's boss will assign Shantanu as Paro's guard, so Rudra will have very little say in who stays with her. Of course at this time, Rudra won't suspect him of being the villain.

And a misunderstanding can definitely occur between these two, especially if it's Rudra who is insecure. He hasn't fully forgiven his mother (this might be a premature claim, but for now it holds) and might still have the 'don't trust khoobsurat aurats' attitude within him. Like you said, if he sees her even smiling at this Shantanu and him 'protecting' Paro, Rudra will have enough motive to misunderstand her. His insecurity still runs deep and who knows, he may not trust her claims that she's innocent. If this is going the Othello way, he will misunderstand her.

This is all speculation, but if executed with precision and depth, this track has tremendous potential to bring back RR to its original form. Now we wait and see if the CVs and channel will do justice to the potential.
