Part 1

Nida had overheard Sanam and Aahil's conversation in the Dargah.
She quickly walked over to the spot where they had tied their Mannat dagas and decided to pry them apart, in fact she snatched them and threw them on the ground.

"Kuch daahgon ke naseeb mein ek dusre ka saat nahin hota," and with that she turned on her heels and walked out the door.

Little did she know that the daga she pulled was not that of Sanam and Aahil but the one next to it. Sanam and Aahil's daga remained entwined.

By the time Nida walked up to the car, Sanam, Rehan, and Aahil were already seated. Aahil was tapping the steering wheel impatiently. As soon as Nida sat down, Aahil pushed the accelerator hard and Nida bounced back in her seat from the impact.

"Ouch," she exclaimed rubbing the back of her head. Aahil ignored her.

The drive from the Dargah to the farmhouse was an hour long and it was a pretty quiet ride as Nida was plugged in to her ipod and everyone else remained silent.

Aahil glanced at his rear view mirror to catch a glimpse of Sanam but she was staring out the window. And Rehan was staring at her. Luckily Aahil did not notice this and stayed focused on the road for the rest of the trip.

By three p.m. they had reached the farmhouse.  It was a giant house set in a deserted area. The whole house was fenced off by black wrought iron gates and looked magnificently cared for.

Rehan waited while Sanam got out of the car, he had beat Aahil to the door. No surprise there.
Again, Rehan's closeness to Sanam went unnoticed by Aahil as the caretaker of the house rushed over to him and led him through the gates. Everyone else followed.

Sanam curiously looked around. "Ya Allah ye tho Aahil ke ghar se be baraa hai," she thought to herself.

The house was well organized and unmistakably clean. Even the neat freak Sanam wasn't able to find fault in the dusting or the sofa setting. Nida started walking up the stairs while Rehan headed towards the backyard. Aahil found a curious Sanam wandering back from inspecting the kitchen. She looked pleased and he found himself lost in her beauty. Seconds later she tripped over a rug and almost landed on the floor. But Aahil had quickly reached out, only to find her straightening up herself.
She gave him a quizzical look.

Aahil was perplexed. Up until now he had managed to catch her whenever she had fallen. This time he couldn't make it in time and although she was not hurt, he seemed utterly disappointed.

Nida spotted this little scene and stopped halfway up the stairs. Aahil and Sanam were still staring at each other. Sanam was the first to break out of the spell and turned away to walk towards a bedroom. Nida wanted to see if she would get the same reaction from Aahil if she fell, so she faked tripping over, but Aahil didn't even hear her gasp and he followed Sanam.

The caretaker showed them the first floor and then made his way upstairs. Both Rehan and Aahil were busy asking about the technicalities of the house when Nida found Sanam standing alone by the staircase.

"Tum jitne seedhee lagte ho utni ho nahin," Nida decided to get straight to the point.

"Ji?!" a confused Sanam responded, unaware of what was to come.

"I mean itnee barhee machlee ko pasa ne mein to bara jaal bee pichana para hoga. Plan kya tha?"

"Kya plan? Aap kya kay rahee hain? Saaf saaf kahiye," Sanam was still lost; but Nida's expression was clear enough to guess that she wasn't starting a get-to-know-you chat.

"Come on. Itnee bholhee be mat banno. Tum mujhe bata saktee ho," Nida pushed.

"Mujhe abhi bee nahin samaj mein aaraha ke aap kis baare mein baat kar raheen hain," Sanam was starting to get frustrated.

"Aahil Raza Ibrahim ke ghar par naukri karna uske khareeb ane ka bahana tha kya? Thake tum uski jaydad ki maalkin ban jao?"

"Jaydad? Ye kya bol raheen hain aap? Main unke liye kaam karthee hoon tho aap muje kuch bhi kay ki zaleel kar dengi?" snapped Sanam. "Main unke ghar par kaam karthi hoon kyun ke meri majboori hain. Unka ek ahsaan hain muj par aur main uski keemat chuka rahee hoon. Iss main unke jaydad ka kya lena dena?"

"Oh. Tumhe lagta hai ke tum apni bechari story sunaogi aur main believe kar loon gi? Come on sweetheart. Main itnee bewaqoof nahin hoon. Mujhe sab dik raha hain. Tum Aahil ko uski jaydad ke liye pasana chahtee ho. Isliye uske ird gird ghoomti ho!"

"Ehsaa kuch bhi nahin hain. Kitni ghirhiwi soch hai apki," Sanam's eyes were welled up by now but Nida could care less.

"Whatever sweety. Tum ye jaanlo ke Aahil mera hai. Sirf mera. Aur tum usse door raho. Kyun ke tum jaisee naukrani ki taraf woh murr ke bhi nahin deke ga. Samji!?" And she walked off in a huff.

Sanam was left standing alone by the staircase. Before anyone could spot her, she rushed down the stairs and ran out the door, her tears finally spilling over. And she ran;she ran as fast as she could without so much as a glance behind her.

Part 2 *UPDATED*

Aahil signed the contract for the farmhouse and handed over the file to Rehan. He glanced around and realized that Sanam and Nida were nowhere in sight.

"Dono nazar nahin aa rahee hain," he told Rehan.

"Main dek kar aata hoon," and with that Rehan hurried towards the house.

Aahil quickly dialed Nida but she didn't answer. Frustrated after the fourth try, he began to pace impatiently.

Fifteen minutes later, Rehan still hadn't showed up. Aahil decided to go inside, as he stepped inside, he called Rehan.

"Hello, Rehan?"

"Haan, Aahil Bhai mujhe Sanam nahin mil rahee. Humne poora ghar chaan mare."
"What?!"exclaimed Aahil. "Aise kaise ho sakta hai. Kahan gayi woh?"

"Aahil bhai, ghar itna bara hai to maine socha ke dekh rahee hogi. Lekin mujhe nahin lag raha ke woh ghar main hai. Aisa keejiye ke aap doontewe peeche ki taraf aajaye. Main aur Nida ji bee aarahay hain."

Aahil shouted for Sanam the whole way to the backyard but there was no response. This girl was already impossible but he was sure that she wasn't hiding on purpose just to bother him. Suddenly he remembered how she was buried alive by goons in the graveyard and he automatically began to panic. What if she was in trouble again? He had to find her!

Aahil found Rehan behind the shed. Apparently she wasn't there either.

"Rehan, Sanam nahin milee?"

Rehan nodded,"Nahin Aahil Bhai." Nida rolled her eyes. She hated how Aahil was in such a frenzy over a stupid servant.

"Nida, tum uske saath theen last. Kya woh tumse kuch keh kar gayee?"

"Nahin, Aahil. Woh to bedrooms dekh rahee thee. Jab main niche aarahee thee," Nida lied.

"Acha ek baar upar phir se dekte hain," Aahil suggested. He walked through the doors with Rehan while Nida followed reluctantly.

At the top of the stairs, he spotted the caretaker who was busy closing the bedroom doors.

"Mr. Chavanilal, kya aapne Sanam ko dekha hai?"

"Arre madam toh apke piche hee hain," he said while pointing at Nida.

"Main Nida hoon," Nida answered through her teeth.

"Nida? lekin sahab aapne tho..."  he started but Aahil cut him off.

"Sanam, woh doosree larki, jo humare saath ayee thee?" he pressed, praying to god that he'd seen her.

"Woh niche kee taraf bhaagthivi ja raheen thee. Lekin uske baad maine unhe nahin dekha. Woh bahar honge," he informed.

"Bahar to main tha..woh bee itnee der se. Bahar nahin hai woh."

"Aree kaheen woh ghar ke liye tho nahin nikal gayeen? Waise bee yahan par panch bajee ke baad koi rickshaw nahin aata. Khaheen woh highway kee tharaf tho nahin gayeen?"

"Kya bakwas kar rahe ho?" Aahil barked.

"Bakwas nahin sahab. Highway baas agey hee hain, wahan se unhe koi lift tho deh dehta. Lekin pehle ek lamba kachaa rasta hai aur ek baara jungle paartha hai. Usse paar kar ke hee highway aatha hai. Aap dekh loh. Kya paatha woh gusse main nikhal gayin hon." he finished.

Aahil thought for a second. What if she did exactly that? What if on her way, she got lost? What if she hurt herself?

His brain began to race with possibilities. Each worse than the one before. He grabbed the railing and began to go downstairs when his eye caught something. A black thread. He grabbed it.

"Ye tho Sanam ka thaveez hai," Rehan offered before Aahil got a good look at it. She wouldn't leave something so precious behind, thought Aahil. And suddenly it clicked, she had really rushed out of the house. Why? He did not know but knowing wasn't important right now.

He bolted down the stairs. "Aahil," Nida shouted after him. Both she and Rehan ran after Aahil as Aahil headed towards his car.

"Aahil ruk jao! Itna kyun pareshaan ho rahee ho? She's only a bloody naukar!" Nida screamed as she finally caught up with him after taking off her heels.

"Shut up Nida," roared Aahil. "Woh naukar nahin hai," he seethed. And with that he sat in his car as Nida stood there stunned and drove the car as soon as Rehan caught up.

"Aree Aahil bhai! Hume to lay chaliye!" he shouted at the retreating car.

"How dare he? Uski himmat kaise hui mujse iss tone main baath karne ki. Saab uss bloody naukar ke liye," fumed Nida.

Rehan didn't hear her as he was too busy trying to call Aahil who was obviously not going to pick up.

"Rehan mujhe ghar le challo," ordered Nida.

"Nida ji yahan par tho rickshaw mile ga hee nahin. Sarhe paanch (5:30) ho rahe hain."

"Rickshaw main kaun jayega? Taxi bulao!" she snapped.

Rehan hung up and dialed a number for a taxi...

Meanwhile, Aahil's search for Sanam was still on. He had driven three miles and there was still no sign of Sanam. The sun was already setting and clouds were piling up in the sky.

Aahil frantically scanned the road for some sign of her.

Part 3 *UPDATED*

Aahil tried calling Sanam but her phone number was unavailable. He punched the steering wheel so hard that the horn blasted. He looked out the window in frustration and saw a huddled up figure.

He suddenly stopped the car.

Sanam was sitting on a boulder/rock on the side of the road. Her head rested on her knees and was buried in her arms. She was shaking slightly.

Aahil rushed to her,"Sanam! Tum yahan kya kar rahee ho?" he questioned in anger. "Humare Saath ayeen aur bina bathaye yahan thak pauch gayeen?"

Sanam finally looked up. "Kyun ayen hain aap yahan? Mujhe mere haal pe chordijiye please."

Aahil saw her tear streaked face and it broke his heart. The kajal that usually enhanced the beauty of her already gorgeous eyes was smudged, interrupting her beautiful features.

"Sanam, tum roh kyun rahee ho?" Aahil asked in a gentler tone.

At that Sanam got up and started to walk away from him. And boy she walked fast.
But Aahil was no less, he caught up with her and grabbed her by the shoulders. She winced but Aahil was in such a rage that he didn't notice.

"How dare you Sanam? Main tumse baath kar raha hoon aur tum mujse bhaag rahee ho? Tum jaantee ho ke main kitna pareshan ho gaya tha jab tum nahin milee?"

Sanam broke free from his amazingly tight grip. "Kyun? Kyun aye aap mujhe doond ne? Chordete mujhe sarhak par marne ke liye," she responded.

"Kya bakwaas kar rahee ho Sanam?" Aahil fumed.

"Main bakwaas nahin kar rahee hoon. Ek naukar ki yahee haisiyat hoti hai. Agar woh mar bhi jaye toh kissee ko koi farak nahi partha!"

The sky growled above as the clouds broke free of tension and started to pour over their heads.

"Oh God," Aahil exhaled. "Sanam garee main bhaito," he ordered.

"Nahin baitna!" Sanam continued to be stubborn and remained standing in the rain.

Aahil walked over to her in two long strides, opened the passenger door and shoved her in. Then he rushed over to the driver's side and started the car.

"Tum kya pagal ho gayi ho?!!!" he yelled at her as he blasted the heat. "Pichlee baar bheeg gayeen thee tho behosh ho gayeen thee aur hume ek saath raat guzarni parhi thee!"

Both of them shared an eyelock. No matter how ordinary this line seemed, whenever either one of them spoke about that night, it brought a sense of memory and feelings of the first night where unintentionally they were so close to each other. Sanam was already sick that night and had passed out while Aahil had taken care of her.

The next roar of thunder jolted both of them out of their thoughts. Aahil passed a hand through his wet hair and took a deep breath. Sanam decided to look out the window to avoid his gaze and Aahil drove the car. One mile down; he saw the jungle Chavanilal was talking about and he decided that he'd drive onto the highway instead of u-turning and driving on this kachha rasta. He didn't want to get a flat tire in the middle of this awful rainstorm.

He had only driven halfway through the jungle when his car stuttered to a rough stop. Aahil tried starting it again but realized soon enough that it was out of gas.

"Shit! Out of gas! Ab yahan to gas station be nahin hoga aur gaddhe main mera wheel be paas gaya. Hum isse dhaakha be nahin dey sakte!" he held his head in frustration.

"Toh ab?" Sanam knew this wasn't the best question to ask him so without waiting for a reply she decided to call Rehan for help. But of course the call didn't go through.

"Network bhi nahin hai aur door door tak lag nahee raha ke yahan koi gari bhi aye gi."

Aahil racked his brains for an idea but none came.

"Lag raha hai ke aaj raat bhi hume ek saath guzarni parhe gi," she spoke without thinking and both of them stared at each other...

Guys comment plz...this is my first full blown FF...i really need to know if it's captivating! PLZ :P

Part 4 UPDATED
Both Aahil and Sanam shared alot more than they'd let on during their eyelock. It was a hurricane of emotions that both were unable to comprehend. Aahil didn't know what attracted him to her. He was rose-drawn by her. Her behavior was not seducing nor did she give him any of those signals, but he just seemed to be pulled towards her whenever she was around.

Sanam didn't know why her stomach squirmed uneasily whenever he stared at her like that. It was as if he didn't hate her at that moment. She wasn't able to pull her gaze away from him. Sometimes she just wished she could get lost in those deep black eyes and never come out. She didn't know what affect he had on her, but she knew that whatever it may be, it was strong and intense. Just like him.

Lightning flashed and suddenly both of them returned to reality. The reality of this horrid situation. It was God knows what time, pitch black outside, it was raining heavily, and they were stuck in the middle of the jungle with a car that was out of gas.

"This is just great!" Aahil pinched his forehead. "Hume utarna parde ga. Poorhi raat tho yahan nahin bait sakte. Shayad koi humari help kar de," he continued and realized how stupid it sounded.

"Ye aap key rahe hain? Hume iss toofani baarish main kon mile ga?! she asked in shock. Wasn't it better to remain seated in the car?Although it was starting to get cold without the heat on and she was already pretty soaked.

"Tume aur koi option nazar aaraha hai?" he retorted. "Ye farmers ka area hai, koi tho raitha ho ga jo humari madat kar sakey."

"Aap jao main yaheen hoon."

"Nahin. Main tume yahan nahin chor sakta hoon. Ye jagah itni bhi safe nahin hai. Aur pata nahin mujhe kitni der lage," and with that he stepped out of the car.

"Allah miya ye ajeeb musibat main pasadiya. Ab inka gussa baarish main to thanda nahin hone wala."

She quickly obeyed and rushed over to his side.

It seemed like it was raining even more heavily than before, if that was even possible. Sanam was not impressed and she was sure that Aahil wasn't either but desperate times called for desperate measures.

They ran; towards what Sanam did not know, but Aahil was smart enough to run underneath trees so that they'd be somewhat sheltered from the merciless rain.

They had run non-stop for what seemed like a good 20 minutes before they stopped to catch their breaths. Sanam's side was aching and she hunched over in pain.

"Tum theek ho?" Aahil asked worriedly.

"Ha..an," Sanam gasped.

Suddenly they heard a loud howl, Sanam grabbed Aahil's arm in fear.

"Yahan to bohut junglee janvar honge. Aagar behriya agaayee tho?"

Aahil quickly placed a hand over hers, in an attempt to comfort her.

"Don't worry, main hoon na." He quickly broke a long, fat branch from a nearby tree and held it in front of him.

"Chalein wapas chaltain hain. Mujhe bohut daar lag raha hai," Sanam tried to convince him.

"Hum itnee door agayain hain agar agley dus minute main koi nazar nahin aya to hum wapas chalaingay. Okay?"

She nodded and they continued, walking now. Sanam was still hanging on to Aahil's arm and surprisingly for Sanam, he let her.

Soon they spotted a faint light ahead. It was so faint that Sanam was almost praying for it not to be a firefly. With her luck, it probably would be.

But they were definitely lucky because it clearly wasn't a firefly!

Ok this one is pretty short but I really need to sleep. I just couldn't help continuing onto part 4 so here it is!

Part 5

The faint glow was coming from a lantern that was hanging in the window of a run-down barn. Sanam was so glad to see it. Finally they can take cover from this awful rain!

"Shayad humme yahan koi mil jaye," Aahil wondered aloud and both of them ran for it.

But the barn was empty. There wasn't a living soul around. There were stacks of hay covering most of the floors and even the abandoned cart that lay in one corner. A few barrels were lined by the door and the one lantern that hung by the window was lighting the place.

"Yahan to koi bhi nahin hai. Toh ye kisne jalaya ho ga?" Sanam asked curious looking at the lantern.

" I don't know," shrugged Aahil. "Filhaal to hum yaheen ruk jatein hain, aur dektain agar koi ataa hai ya nahin."

Sanam nodded and turned away from the lantern, as she did her head swayed and she felt a sudden dizziness swallowing her. Aahil caught her before she hit the ground.

"Sanam! Kya hua?!!" he asked panicked.

"Na...hin...ku..ch nahin," she answered as his face swam in and out of her vision. "Woh...a..aj roza tha...a.ur..kuch kaya bhi nahin...upar..upar se itna bhaagna para."

"Kya? Are you crazy? Tumne apna roza nahin khola aur niklee thee ghar jaane?!" Aahil yelled at her.

"Please aap chilaye mat. Mera sar dukh raha hai," she held her head in her hands as Aahil helped her sit down on a stack of hay. Once he made sure she was okay, he rushed to the cart and magically conjured a box of crackers and a water bottle.

"Ya Allah! Ye kahan se aya?" she asked incredulously.

"Meri gari main ye saab tha tho jab tum mujse gari main ruk ne ki zidd kar raheen thee, main ye uttake rak raha tha," he gave her a faint smile. The one that he rarely gave. It made Sanam's heart skip a beat.

She was touched by his gesture. "Aaaj yakin ho raha hai kay inke seene main bhi dil hai," she thought.

With a quick "Shukriya," she grabbed the crackers from him and ate a few. He admired her as she took a few swigs from the water bottle. She suddenly became very aware of him watching her eat and blushed in embarrassment.

"Mujhe maaf kardije ga maine aap se to pucha hi nahin! Aap bhi kaiye," she handed over the box to him. He shook his head giving her another slight smile.

"Nahin, tum kao, pura din bhukhi theen."
He sat down on a stack of hay as she took another drink from his water bottle.

"Sanam.."

"Hmmm?"

"Tum farmhouse se kyon chaliye gayeen thee? Kuch hua tha kya?"

Sanam froze. Nida's voice and accusation echoed in her head. Her eyes began to well up and she stood up, facing away from him so he wouldn't see her tears.

"Nahin kuch bhi toh nahin."

"Woh caretaker tho kheraha tha kay tum wahan see bhaagtiwi niklee theen," Aahil also stood up.

"Aisi koi baat nahin thee Aahil ji," she tried to convince him but to no avail.

"Sanam look at me," he said menacingly, almost at the verge of losing his temper.

Sanam could hear the anger in his voice and knowing she had no other choice but to face him, plastered on a fake smile and turned around to find him a foot away from her.

"Dekiye main ek chote shehar ki ghareeb larkhi hoon tho meri problems tho hongi. Meri badi Ammi ki tabiyat itni kharab raiti hain aur meri behen, Haya, bichari woh to bol be nahin sakti. To unki yaad aree thee...tho bus."

"Toh tum ye kherahi  ho ke tum apni badi Ammi ke yaad main theen mile bhaag kar road ke paas baitke roh raheen theen?"

"Haan! Tho?" Sanam fumed losing her temper. "Why was he so worried about her running away and crying? What did it matter to him?" Sanam thought furiously.

"Aap hi nay to meri musibatein bharaeen hain? Aapko kya farak padta hain ke meri jaise naukar kay zindagi main kya ho raha hain?" she argued.

Aahil completely lost it with that. He walked up to her and grabbed her hard by the shoulders.
