Hey guys so probably I deserve a kick and a couple of slaps since I haven't updated for like a year. I kinda stopped watching Qubool Hai and today re-visited this story and realized that there was a lot of scope for this to become great...so Im re-continuing..so for those that participated in the original topic here is the story continued...and for those that are new this a story about Asad/Zoya after they had a fight and Zoya goes to the airport to leave for New York. I was greatly disappointed by the ending that Asya got in Qubool hai...so I guess this is for those that felt the same.

Cheers,
KaransWorld

PS. Since the topic is closed Im posting the entire story here again.

Qubool Hai Fic --- currently untitled

She was sitting on her government hospital bed.

Staring at the blank wall in front of her...she felt the world buzzing around her as she sat completely still.

All around her there was chaos...she was one of the survivors...Survivor...she was a survivor no matter how many times she repeated that word in her head she couldn't connect with it...because she may have survived but she didn't feel like a survivor.

There weren't many that had survived the plane crash nobody knew exactly what had taken place...just a day ago. But after that incident 250 peoples lives and those of their families had definitely changed. In those couple of seconds in which the plane literally fell from the sky just minutes after its take off. Flight A200 which would fly from Bhopal to New York...had shocked its passengers with its early descent from the skies. Nobody had thought that in those couple of seconds they would be living something out of their nightmares. She should have considered herself lucky, because even after loosing a lot of blood she was alive...but no matter how many times she tried to...she couldn't feel the happiness...the joy of being alive evaded her. Because even though she had survived she hadn't...not all of her had made it back after this tragedy...she had lost all of her memory...she was an empty shell...a clean slate...she was like the white wall she was so intensely staring at. When the doctors had come to enquire about her and who they needed to call...she couldn't give them anything...not even her name...she had no idea who she was. Everything was lost in the abyss of her mind...except one thing that stood out like a beacon of hope in the darkness...it was his name...she couldn't put a face with the name...but when they asked her again...she had said...his name... Asad Ahmed Khan!

Lying distraught with her eyes wide open...she watched as slowly the families of the survivors made their way to their beds...and hugged them and prayed to the man upstairs...thanking him for saving their loved one...she also saw those families that wailed curses at the very same man as they heard about the death of their loved ones...she closed her eyes...and wondered...would anyone come to for her...did she have a family...was Asad Ahmed Khan the only name that connected herself to her past...was he her family was he worried about her...would he come to take her home...she was so frustrated...with all the questions...a tear slipped down her face...and then exhaustion took over and she fell a sleep.

Asad Ahmed Khan sat outside in his garden with his face buried in his hands. He kept on asking himself why he had let her go. His heart was aching...as tears fell from his eyes...this pain...reminded him of when his father had abandoned them...but this was somehow worse...it hurt so bad...he knew that she was waiting for him to give her a reason to stay...whenever he had decided to tell her how he really felt a part of him stopped him in his tracks. She wasn't right for his life...they were too different she was a misfit...wasn't that what he had told her and himself when they were under the influence of bhang...he had acted as if he didn't remember what had conspired between them on that fine night...but he couldn't lie to himself...he remembered that night again...the night he had confessed his feelings to her and the feeling of contentment that ran through him when she had rested her head on his shoulder and he had embraced her but now because of his own stupidity and ego he had let her go. The tears continued to flow...he could still she her eyes looking at him with hope...waiting for him to say something...but he hadn't...he didn't want to hurt her...he thought that he was incapable of loving...and so he thought he didn't want to hurt her...but then he saw the hurt, the pain in her eyes the sheer look of disappointment...he had let her down...and then she left.

Asad felt a hand on his shoulder...he wiped his tears...and looked up...Najma was standing there with a new set of tears in her eyes...when he got up...she hugged him tightly as her wails got louder...

Kya hua Najma...he patted her back and her wails turned into hiccups and then she calmed down and answered his question...

Bhaijaan...Zo...zo...Zoya ka plane crash hogaya...news pe abhi kabar aayi hein...and a new set of tears replaced the old ones...

It was as the world had come crashing down on him...No...this was not going to happen to him...he was ready to live away from her forever...but not like this...he was ready to live the rest of his life only with the hope that she would be happy...Allah couldn't do this to him...she couldn't do this to him...he moved away from Najma and went to his room...and called up the ACP of Bhopal...and questioned him about the crash...he knew that she couldn't have...he couldn't even say it...she couldn't have died...and so he shut off his emotions like he always did and set out to find...Zoya...his Zoya.

He went into the living room...where is Ammi was pacing in front of the television...he moved toward her and slowly guided her toward the sofa...she looked at him...he could tell she was tired...she looked defeated...he knew what Zoya meant to her...she was another Najma to her...a daughter...who she loved...and was already sad to see leaving...and now to hear that her daughter was dead took a toll on her and it was clearly visible by her current appearance.

He spoke first... Ammi I've just spoke to ACP Mathur... the survivors are admitted in a hospital near the outskirts of town...I going now to the hospital...he held her hand tightly as if trying to bring her to believe him when he continued and said...I'm going to get our Zoya back.

With that he got up...put on his aviators and went into his SUV and drove off...she had to be alive.

In the hospital Zoya had been sleeping...and then she woke up with a jerk...and sat down...she was covered in sweat...the doctors ran toward her and asked her what was wrong...she replied that she just had a dream...and described how she saw herself in a dulhan's form walking towards a man and a qazi...and then she said qubool...and then the dream ended and she woke up. The doctors told her that sometimes patients that have amnesia have these visions as remnants of their memory still exist in the corners of their minds...and what she had thought was a dream was probably a memory surfacing...the doctor said...perhaps the name you took was of your husband...since clearly it seem you're married.

She sat there as the doctor talked to her and then continued to sit as the doctor left...Asad Ahmed Khan..was her Shohar...her husband...a tear escaped her eyes as she for the first time since she had awoken...she felt happy to be alive...someone out there was missing her...looking for her...and then she did what she thought she could to help her husband find her...she prayed...she asked Allah to reunite them with each other.

Chapter 2

He ran into the hospital without Giving it a second thought...at the reception the nurse was busy on the phone laughing about something...in order to get her attention he banged on the counter top...and gritting his teeth to maintain his composition he asked her where the survivors of the crash were held...she nervously gave him directions and once again he went running to find her...as he got closer to the ward his heart started beating... it felt that his heart was going to go beat out of his chest.
When he saw her inside the ward it was as it nothing else mattered anymore...everything except her was a blur...he suddenly remembered Najma telling him about the accident he swiftly walked toward her and gave her a rib crushing hug as tears fell from his eyes...he needed to feel her again...after almost loosing her he needed reassurance that she was alive.
At first she was shocked to see this man almost running towards her and when he hugged him she was a little hesitant but when he let go of her and looked at her with blood shot eyes..and then returning to make sure she was ok and kissing her forehead and hands and then hugging her again...she saw the pain in his eyes and she realized this was the man that left such a mark on her that even after what had happened he remained seared in her memory...and that's when she too reciprocated the hug and whispered "Asad"... He looked at her again slowly letting go and getting back to his senses...he then got off her bed and sat on the stool next to it...during this process he continued to hold her hand as if she would suddenly seize to exist without this contact.
He looked at her and smiled..he was so happy so see her again after always losing her..."Aap theek hai na Zoya..he looked at her which so much love and concern it warmed her heart...and then it hit her he had called her using her name...her name was Zoya...Zoya Asad Ahmed Khan...she smiled and hugged him again...tears fell from her eyes..he suddenly looked at her with worry.."kya hua...app ko khayin dard ho raha hain?"
Her smile grew wider..."Nahin...these are tears of joy...when I was first brought to the hospital I didn't think anyone would bother coming to see me...I felt so alone in the world...but you came"
Asad thought how much pain he had caused Zoya...he had made her feel that she was all alone in this world...and then he said...Zoya please don't say that of course I would come...I'm so sorry I should have stopped you from leaving...but my ego came in the way...I can't believe I almost lost you...I would've di..." Before he could continue she put her finger on his lips and then put her head on his shoulder "please Asad don't say that...we are here together na...isn't that what matters"

Before they could continue...a nurse came in and asked Asad to follow them into the doctors cabin.
The doctor began.."please sit down Mr. Khan...we are so happy that you came...we were about to call you ourselves...since your wife has gained consciousness she has never spared any time not taking your name...even with her amnesia...it is what we consider in the medical profession nothing short of a miracle that she remembered you...I must say your love for her must be strong...anyways I just called you inside so that you could take care of some formalities as well as I wanted to inform you that you can take your wife home tomorrow...we just need to take some tests in order to deem her fit for discharge...I know seeing her in this condition must be hard for you...but you have to understand too much pressure on her brain can lead to her falling into a coma...so you must be patient...of course the possibility of completely retrieving her memory is inconceivable...but slowly she will retain some of her memory...but keep in mind not to force her to remember because that will just lead to her becoming stressed...which cannot be good for her health...so please do take care of her"

Asad just sat still as this information was being conveyed to him...he took time for everything to sink in...Zoya thought she was his wife...but how and why...why was it that she had only remembered his name and not even her own...he felt wedged in a odd place...he didn't know how to feel or react...and he couldn't tell Zoya anything...what would he do now?

Chapter 3

He slowly walked back into the hospital room...he continued to think about what he would do next...

As he reached the door...she looked at him and smiled...she looked so innocent...she needed his support...she would break if felt she didn't have a family..and his ammi and Najma already considered her to be family...and somewhere deep inside he did too..that's when he decided he would be her husband for as long as she needed him to be and then he went inside with a soft smile on his face mimicking hers.
"Where did you go?"
"Oh the doctor just wanted me to fill out some forms and he wanted to inform me that you could get a discharge tomorrow"
"But I'm completely fine"..she almost whined..."see" she said moving her arms and slightly lifting up her feet"
"I'm sure you are but you're not leaving here until a doctor gives his/her consent...if you have a doctors degree we can talk"

She pouted but then agreed...she put out her hand for him to hold as he sat next to her...she looked at him and asked "why was I heading to New York...and that too alone? And why did you say when you first came that you wished you had stopped me?" her tone was soft...she was suspicious just curious...

He gulped...and then smiled..."Zoya...we had a small baseless fight...and I got angry so when you asked me whether I would stop you from going I said "no"...and so because of us both being stubborn and egoistic...you left"

She looked at him...with tears in her...eyes "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have left...what if I had never come back...what if that was the last conversation we would ever have...I'm sorry"

He looked at her with determination...his tears were threating to fall but he controlled himself...and looked deep into her eyes..."Never...say that again Zoya...you're my life...we could never be separated...if something had happened to you my breaths would've also stopped with yours...and this whatever happened is not your fault...we both were stupid...and don't fights happen between all couples" saying that he touched her cheeks and wiped away her tears and took her into an embrace...she rested her head on his shoulder and thought to herself how...this felt to natural to her even though she had no recollection of her past life with him...this feeling was so normal.

As they were hugging each other...he couldn't help to think to himself...how this felt so real...even though he was supposed to be acting...this felt to natural...all those words came straight from the heart...it was as if his subconscious was telling him something...but then he shut off his brain and just lived the moment in front of him.

The moment ended...when Asad's phone rang.

"Ammi...jee...jee...sorry...mein bhul gaya...jee...haan...lekin ammi I have to tell you something...Zoya theek to hain but she doesn't remember anything...when she woke up she only thankfully remembered me and our marriage..."

Asad was sitting in front of Zoya..so he had to be careful...this way he was able to tell his ammi everything but at the same time not raise any doubts in her mind

When Asad had said Ammi...Zoya had looked up...she was listening to what Asad was saying and frown when she was reminded of her memory loss...she really wished she could remember the times she spent with Asad...like how they met...or when had they decided to get married...she wanted to talk to her mother-in-law...she wanted to speak to Ammi...for some reason it felt so strange even saying that word in her mind...the word seemed so foreign...so new...she then gestured Asad to pass the phone to her so that she could speak to his mother...

He passed her the phone...hoping his ammi got the hint...and then he say Zoya become like herself again...she was smiling and animatingly taking to his mother...he decided at this time that he would go and make arrangements for his stay tonight and also get her some clothes for tomorrow before they returned home...he squeezed Zoya's hand and whispered..."I'll just go and make some arrangements for tomorrow"

She looked up at him and simply nodded and went back to her conversation.

They may not have been married but to any third person looking at these two they definitely looked like a married couple at that moment.

Chapter 4

Asad returned to the ward he booked a room in a nearby inn for the night...when he came back Zoya was asleep...she must've been exhausted...he sat down next to her and thought about the current events...how was he going to pull this off...they weren't really married and even though he couldn't deny the soft corner he had for Zoya they weren't in love and now he would have to pretend...he felt terrible...maybe if he kept a bit of a distance from her it would be easier for her when she found out the truth...before he knew it exhaustion also took over him and he fell asleep with his head on Zoya's bed in a quite uncomfortable crouched position...He was awoken when he felt a hand stroking through his hair...it felt really nice..he felt like a little child in his Ammi's lap...there was a sense of peace...then he came back into reality and realized that he was indeed in someone's lap and someone was touching him with love and care...it was Zoya and it was morning he hadn't returned to inn...Asad slowly got up and stretched a little bit...he could feel her staring at him and he too stole a glance at her she was smiling at him and a warm feeling filled his heart.
The nurse came inside the room and told them she was here to give Zoya a sponge bath...Asad turned around to leave when Zoya held his hand she looked at him and said...it's ok you're my husband...he slowly took her hand off his and walked out of the room...he couldn't do anything a husband could do because they weren't really married and it would be like taking advantage of her situation. His little gesture didn't matter to him as he had his reasons but Zoya she was oblivious to the truth and for minute her heart ached...why had he left...he was her husband...she was the one with the lost memory so why did he leave...he was her husband they had shared everything together...at least she would think that's what they had done since they were married...the nurse slowly helped her remove her white patient outfit and her eye moved to the scars on her body and the large burn scar especially on her right arm...and then it hit her...he didn't want to see this...maybe he wanted to continue to remember her body as it was and now if he had seen her he would've been disgusted...a tear fell down her cheek...she didn't blame him

All the formalities were done and Zoya and Asad made there way into Asad's SUV both remained silent...Asad didn't know what to say and Zoya didn't speak because she felt unwanted, from what had happened earlier she began thinking that he didn't want to see her and so being lost in her own thoughts she didn't speak. Asad helped her into the car and then they were on their way back home. While driving the only conversation they had was when Asad asked Zoya to call home and inform that they were on their way and when during the journey he had asked if she was comfortable. On both counts she just slightly nodded.

When they reached, Asad helped Zoya get out of the car...she was in awe of what she saw in front of her...the white house in front of her was beautiful it didn't seem that the architect was trying to hard to make the house symbolize wealth...but at the same time the house at least from the outside looked sophisticated and suave. She was a little disappointed because she thought that maybe if she were to see her own house memories would come rushing back like they did in the movies...but that didn't happen...however she did feel the warmth of the house radiating outside...the house was filled with love and acceptance and she could feel it even without stepping inside.

Asad supported her...and they walked into the house...no...they walked into their home. Before Zoya could even properly look at the interior of the house she was engulfed into a hug by a cute, and a little healthy girl, she had shoulder length hair and large brown eyes that reminded her of someone...maybe Asad...before she knew it she was consoling the girl who had wrapped her arms around her and was now crying...slowly as the weeping died down Zoya slowly pulled away...she didn't know who the girl standing in front of her...but she could feel that in the past they had shared a special bond...Zoya then wiped the girl's tear and said...bas don't cry anymore tamatar...and everyone was shocked just as much as Zoya she quickly covered her mouth and closed her eyes...why did she say that...when she opened her eyes she expected the girl to be angry or at the least a little upset...but instead the girl that was crying some moments ago sported a large smile...she hugged Zoya again but this time less desperately and said Zoya I'm so happy...that you remember me...Bhaijaan and scared us all saying you had forgotten everything...Zoya felt guilty for a moment she wished she could've remembered because the girl in front of her seemed like an important part of her life...but before she could reply Asad placed a hand on Najma and shook his head slowly indicating that she didn't remember and with that one look conveyed that what had just happened perhaps might have been a fluke. Najma took the hint...and smiled...Zoya I'm you're sister-in-law Najma...we were best friends when you were here...and inshallah we will once again become friends...please don't feel troubled to ask me anything...and don't pressure yourself to remember...maybe this happened for the best...and before Najma could continue Asad gave a slight glare signaling her to shut up...and so she did...Zoya looked at them confusingly...and thought about what Najma said...happened for the best...why was her losing all her memory better...what was hidden in her past that was best to forget but before she could continue with her dwelling Asad put his around her shoulder and guided her inside...towards his ammi who was in the kitchen...she didn't know that they had arrived already and was busy cooking.

When Dilshad turned around she was so happy to see Zoya...she remembered when she had turned on the news...she had been in so much pain and wished that Allah give her all the pain her daughter was in...Zoya was such a good soul...she didn't deserve was life had served her with...she didn't deserve for her mother to have died...she didn't deserve hearing after 20 years that her father...her only hope to understand what had happened on that unfaithful night...was gone...and that she was now alone...a tear slipped down her cheek as she remembered Zoya breaking down in her arms after Asad had helped solve the mystery of her father...Zoya didn't remember the woman she was looking at...but she knew that this had to be Asad's ammi because there was so much love in her eyes for Zoya...so much motherly affection and before thinking Zoya hugged Dilshad and quietly whispered Ammi. Dilshad felt like all the pain and qualms she had at the point had disappeared...she remembered how much she had wished that Zoya call her Ammi but had decided not to force the relation upon her...but now she was so happy...Asad's eyes were wet...as tears fell from his face...he was so happy...it was like his family was now complete.

Chapter 5

"Tammy, finally you're back...oh Zoya! I'm so happy your okay" Tanveer said as she moved in between Zoya and Asad. The moment had passed and Asad was hastily taken away from his fantasy and reality hit...this was all a charade that he and the rest of his family had to keep up till Zoya was okay. Once she was okay and had even an inkling of her old life she would once again pack her bags and leave. And as that realization sunk in he distanced himself and without saying a word he turned around and made his way into his room. Zoya looked back at him walking away as Tanveer hugged her...even though she was happy receiving the affection from everyone but seeing her beau walking away pained her heart. All that she could think to herself was that even though he wasn't telling her...something big had happened before the plane crash, a small fight wouldn't have caused so much distance between them. But then again she knew nothing about what exactly their relationship was like. She didn't even know if they marriage was arranged or whether they had been in love. Maybe this was normal in their relationship the distance or maybe he just didn't want to be near her anymore because what she looked like and this was just his way of telling her to stay away. Would this accident that had destroyed her from inside out destroy her marriage too? As questions kept swirling her mind she was brought back out of her head by someone touching her shoulder when she looked up hands wiped away at the tears that stained her pale cheeks, a look of sadness was on the receiving end. Zoya realized that the internal turmoil was externalizing itself. She looked up and then gave her best genuine smile and said " I'm okay Ammi just a little exhausted where is my room? I think I want to lay down a little while." They all looked at each other thinking about what to say. Dilshad couldn't exactly show Zoya to her own bedroom because then questions would arise as to why Asad and Zoya don't sleep in the same bedroom. Before anyone could say anything Najma began talking "Zoya I was thinking if you would want to sleep in my room for a couple of nights, considering the current situation maybe I might be more comfortable" Zoya thought for a moment and then decided it for a little bit would do that then she would do anything. She smiled and Najma and followed her upstairs to her room.

When she reached the room she definitely felt better the room was bright and colorful, almost like a personification of Najma. Najma stood next to Zoya waiting for her reaction. Zoya turned around and smiled again, she looked at the room once again and looked back saying "It's beautiful Najma, bahut pretty hain" Najma smiled back and said I missed you Zoya...I'm so happy you are back...don't worry we all love you very much" Najma then added "even bhaijaan, he may not be the best at expressing it but he does love you". Zoya smiled, this time a small smile she wanted to believe Najma but it was becoming difficult with whatever behavior she had seen from Asad. When he first saw her, his eyes were filled with so much love, but now it was as if he was trying his best to not show disgust on his face from being around her. Also with the comment on what had happened before she left, the little commentary that had left Najma's mouth accidentally was bothering her...there were so many questions in her mind...her head felt heavy and she fainted.

Najma was watching Zoya as she was processing everything and then within a blink of an eye Zoya was lying on the floor lifeless...Najma froze nothing was coming out of her mouth and in a moment it was like everything stopped and then restarted. Najma got into action and ran out her room screaming "bhaiyaan, ammi, bhaiyaan, ammi!! Zoya has fainted!"

Everyone ran upstairs...

Asad came inside like a raging bull that couldn't be stopped. He saw her on the ground and for a moment considered the worst...no...she couldn't...he went up close and touched her pulse to reassure him that she was breathing and still alive. He gingerly picked her up and took her downstairs to his own room. Dilshaad was behind him and she called for a doctor. Tanveer looked at the ruckus in front of her and thought to herself..."I had just gotten rid of her... and now she is back...she like a cockroach no matter what I do she comes back...I need to think of something quickly... to get rid of her..."

The doctor came promptly and prescribed some medicine for the weakness and gave Zoya an injection that would give her energy and so that she would wake up. They all waited in pin drop silence and slowly Zoya opened her eyes...and uttered "Asad...Asad...tum kaha hon Asad." Asad reacted and held her hand..."Im here..Zoya...meri jaan don't worry everything will be okay, you're fine...we both are fine". She couldn't control herself and left her upper body into his arms and gave him a bone crushing hug...she didn't want her Asad to leave or look at her with disgust she wanted to feel all the touches they every had with each other. The doctor patted Asad's shoulder and asked him to come outside for a moment.

The rest of the women of the household gathered around Zoya and began pampering her and cajoling her to take the new medication and giving her juice and fruits.

Outside the doctor spoke. "Mr. Khan, you're wife is fine at the moment what had happened today was a result of stress and anxiety. From what you have told me of her losing her memory, it seems that she is very bothered by the loss of it and is unable to cope...also something I've noted is that you seem to comfort her and there a calm she receives when she is near you...her pulse rate when she had fainted had dropped quite severely but when she came in contact with you it came back to normal...I know this must seem pretty cheesy especially coming from a doctor but it is as if her heart only beats for you. So if you want my professional advice I would a her medicine and cure is being surrounded by you and you're love.

Asad closed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose...now what was he going to do he couldn't stay away from her or keep her distance...it could very well kill her but wouldn't the opposite also hurt her deeply. He thanked the doctor and returned to his room where Zoya was sitting with her back against the headboard of the bed and her eyes closed.
