Agree Singhs characters are better graphed though actors in Shekhar family minus Roop ( she cannot act even for her life's sake đŸĨą)rest are good but their characters are not as good as Singhs Cvs never paid attention That make me feel bad for the actors 😆

I still have doubt Shiv being adopted 😆 Roop... but her fans keep on increasing 😲

Heth Singh should be shown again His corruption done should be brought to light He ruled Jaitsar for years and troubled people there His crimes are innumerable and it looks silly how he is disappeared Even if DS didn;t kill his son still it is in his character to create problems for newly elected MLA so that he can win again He cannot be silent 😕They should show some serious issue driven fights between ex MLA and newly elected MLA
Agreed no matter Ratan Singh , Heth Singh , Mahveer Singh etc were cruel but their characters were betterly sketched They boiled blood and gave us villain wala feeling The actors were superb People wanted them to be punished but never complained why they are shown unlike the likes of Sanchi Total irritating even as positive she is đŸ¤ĸand DB i find her laughing stock LOl 😆

Esha a very good post.
Won't say about Dadisa because much is said about her and we have seen her evolve over time.
DB - First of all I don't think she was regressive and a is tradionalist with a conservative mindset.Had she been that way from the beginning she would not have married against her family's wishes or run away from home.
But later on the circumstances which in her life made her turn regressive and rigid probably to escape the miseries of her life she turned tradional and developed ths regressive mindset aout everying old is gold and to add to that she is selfish spoilt and like Sanchi.
Where bitter experiences made Dadisa a better person they brought out the worst in Dadibua.
As for Bhairon Singh not leaving DS or unable to change her it's more to do with his love for his mother and willingness to put up with her ways. But Dadisa changed after Jagya left her.She changed her views after her most loved one left her and the loss made her realise what is more important in life.
Here why DB's husband and son left her is not very clear. It may have been their nature and combined with her own nature of selfishness and wanting to be centre of attention and wanting to have her own way.
DS's views have come from the way she was brought up and DB acquired them along the way probably as some sort of a shield.

Comparison between DB and DS was inevitable. Here DS has the advantage of being in the serial right from start, her character well defined, her story known (except for the period when she ran away from Mahavir Singh to the time when the serial started - Anandi's bal-vivah). DB's character is not well defined and a lot of her actions seem strange. She does not look traditionalist - her insistence on certain things looks like she just wants to dominate, to show her importance in the family.
- DB must be older than DS because she was not a child bride (it is another thing that looks of the characters depend on the actors and not on the actual age of the characters). Creatives did not show the story of how DS and DB raised their children. During Mahavir Singh track, it was shown that DS left the house with just her husband's portrait but then she showed Anandi what jewelry her husband gave to her 😕 and her ghaghra that she gave to Sugna 😕. Means they want us to believe whatever they show. She was not literate, the village was traditionalist - what she did to become village head level? She did not have money to buy agricultural land - even now her sons are traders and not farmers - we are just made to believe that she became so powerful on her own (but common sense says that it was impossible). Similarly DB has brought up his son - how? Any woman who was working cannot be a dependent like DB. A lot of things we are left to believe.

- DS was ruthless - DB is comical and childish (except for torture of Amol). DS did torture her beendnees and her maika people with authority, while DB gets pleasure in dominating people with the support of head of house - she does not have real authority, but likes to make people obey her because she is their elder. I dont think DB is really regressive, she is not doing all this because of her beliefs, she seems sadistic.

What kind of traditionalist is this DB!!! I don't understand. In today's episode also, DB refused to take the medicine that doctor gave. Its consider holy also by traditionlists and used in some havan/pujas(in our place they do!). How can a traditionlist disrespect gaumutra(not sure of the spelling😆).

I think basic difference between DS and DB is of intention. DS had old fashioned views and ideals and wanted her family to follow the disciplines she believed in. Intention was to make them do what she considered as correct. But this DB doesn't seem to have any real belief and does things only to control others and get sadistic pleasure out of it.
Also I wonder if DB really thinks of shekhars as her family. If I'm not wrong, she had no problem when some women questioned Shiv over the Rasika issue. DS would have shut them up if anyone questioned her family members like this.

Look forward to the union of Kaddu (Kalyani + Daddu)

Kaddu So funny.😆When kaddu will unite every both Shekhars " singhs will b in same house.

I am assuming DB lived in an urban area or atleast a town. Whereas DS lived in a very backward, small village. That also made difference in mentality and control of kids.
DS had Basant in her control. He also loomed large over Bhairon and prevented any rebellion against DS.
DS kept everything in her strict watch and control, including business and finances. This gave her an edge. Usually oldies become useless in eyes of kids if they are not earning or have named all property and wealth after them.

Apart from having more of an iron hand and her sons attached to her, DS has been very practical in ensuring she has control and nobody leaves.
