His Bollywood film Khoobsurat is going to bomb big time for sure. He is still dreaming of Bollywood and has lost many chances in Pakistani serials. News is that he charges way to much to act in his own country's serials. Per scene he demands money. He has appointed a PR in India to spead false rumors about films opposite Kareena, Anushka, Alia etc.

He could have made it big in Pakistan film industry but due to his ego and sudden success got on his head he has almost ruined his career in Pakistan.

I wouldn't say he ruined his career..I just don't understand what he has in mind for himself. He hasn't signed anything in Pakistan..and I don't think he signed anything in Bollywood either post Khoobsurat. Nonetheless, I'm afraid we won't be seeing him take up another television show anytime soon..and I do miss seeing him onscreen as well.

So do I. He was overrated anyway. Don't get me wrong, he had massive potential but didn't really utilise it properly.

Yes he does have a HUGE fan following and I think its because of his good looks and because of the loverboy roles he does.😆

I am not much active here but for the first time I think i've seen something sensible. With his fan folioing I think his work in Pakistani industry would be better being a Pakistani but for some reason all these Paki actors try looking towards bollywood.

Also, he's not that great of an actor but has subtle sense of acting which makes him a good candidate. Could have utilized his potential elsewhere.

I honestly do think Fawad has tried his best to branch out on television at least..it's the audiences that fail to acknowledge anything he has done apart from the same, loverboy characters. You can't utilize your talent on television when the TRPs only come in if Fawad does an Asher or a Zaroon. He has tried stuff on ARY and Geo, with different writers yet people always come back to square one hoping Fawad does another, repetitive character with Momina Duraid on Humtv.. in some fantastical love saga. He has been typecasted. I don't blame him for taking a break from television. At the moment, you can't make a path-breaking television career out of female oriented television when you're a male actor. Actors WANT to branch out into films..the only thing I question here is what are Fawad's priorities as an actor.
I wonder what Khoobsurat had to offer which made him say yes, because it doesn't seem like he has a substantial role..and if he indeed does not..then he could have easily done another show for Humtv instead + have had some decent role at the very least. He could have easily gotten any film in Pakistan at the moment and done well with it with his starpower..sadly he didn't opt for that and I truly wonder why. It's actually disappointing because our films are prospering and here you have some actors doing films elsewhere. As I said as a fan, it makes me question their priorities..and a lot of times, money and fame seem to top that list. Nonetheless, I think it's fair game to see what Khoobsurat has to offer..we can clearly judge for ourselves from thereafter.

I personally would have preferred if he stayed on Hum TV and experimented with different roles which he hasn't done before, i've never seen him play a negative character.
Plus there are so many other actors in Pakistani industry just as talented as he is, yet no one acknowledges them.

Maybe he felt he would get more fame from Bollywood than Pakistani movies? :S
I don't have a good feeling about it though, because so far the Pakistani actors who have gone to Bollywood haven't been very successful eg. Ali Zafar. It would be sad to see Fawad in that position too.

Khoobsurat doesn't look promising at all, but let's see. Maybe if the movie is a hit, he might get a better offer.
