I'm really really sorry for your loss CPR and to everyone here who has lost a loved one to cancer. It's really never easy and I pray you all remain strong. My uncle suffered from cancer and unfortunately so did his daughter at the same time.. My uncle ended up passing away, and then just 4 weeks later my cousin (his daughter) ended up passing away too.

I think your idea would be interesting. If it is directed correctly, could be a very eye opening movie. I wish bollywood did expand the genre of films they make. I think the film should include all the research and efforts being made to find cures. I pray that one day we can find a real cure to eliminate this disease.

Sorry to hear about ur masis. I've lost many members of my family to cancer too. Its such a nasty thing. Its hereditary in many cases. So,I might as well die of cancer someday.
Anyway, that would be a very inspiring story.

A motivational movie would be great, but mostly I just hope one day Bollywood releases a movie that deals with the subject matter of cancer realistically.

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, even I would want the movie to be dealt with realistically.

I am sorry to hear about your loss, Rani. We lost a family member to cancer this year and my uncle was diagnosed with cancer as well. He had his chemo and he is doing okay now. Emotionally it has been difficult, but I think I have learned to appreciate life a lot more and all the moments that come with it.

Anyway, I think this would be a great! I like it! Even cancer patients do need something they can relate to. They read books, watch movies, so as long as the movie wasn't too serious. A bit light hearted, compelling message, yet resilient and brave it would go a long way :)

Thank you for your kind words. I'm sorry for your loss as well. I'm glad your uncle is doing well now.

Thank you for your kind words. It is a nasty thing, but please don't say that you might die of cancer too. Don't think negative like that. Please.

Yeah ur intention is good though...but why would any cancer patient want to see the movie having all the sufferings they r going thru ..on the screen??

It's better to make them watch comedy shows or movies which makes them forget abt their depressions or sorrows..

Yeah some movies r inspirational..but r we taking any inspiration from any movie in real life??if it is a true based movie then maybe people get inspired..

I understand where you're coming from, but I'd rather want to take this in a positive spiritual and inspirational level. The movie shouldn't be 3 hours of serious drama. Of course there should be some humor and comic timings as well.

After seeing The Fault in our Stars, I would love to see a Bollywood adaption but with some differences based on my original idea. It shouldn't be a complete copy of the Hollywood movie, but rather it should have a lot of different elements added such as humor, comedy, and possibly a cure to cancer all presented in a realistic way.

^Sorry to hear about your loss :/
I think it would be great if they do a film where at first the character with cancer is shown to be strong, the relatives find out, and then they find a cure for the cancer with the main character (the one with cancer) survives!

They can do a cheesy-but-powerful ending as well where everyone is shown together at the end in a big group of people, where the main character talks about how anything could be conquered if you put your mind and effort to it. The film would potentially become a national inspirational rage, in a good way!

sorry for ur loss
in general i wud like to see smaller more intimate hindi movies.

i just saw i movie called lullaby about a family where the father decides to end his battle with cancer and go off life support. it wasn't anything great but just a very intimate look at a small family and their struggle and acceptance
