This Friday will see the release of the most anticipated movie of the month, Ek Villain. It stars Sidharth Malhotra and Shradhha Kapoor and is directed by Mohit Suri. This is first big release for Shraddha Kapoor after the stupendous success of Suri directed Aashiqui 2. It is also the first time that Reteish Deshmukh will be seen in a character with grey shades.

We list 5 reasons why it will be interesting to watch Ekta Kapoor's Ek Villain:

1. Music:

Music and songs will surely top the list, if someone is asked why he/she will watch Ek Villain. After the huge success of Aashiqui 2, music director Mithoon is back with some more soulful songs. Ek Villain's album has received positive reviews from everywhere. With songs like Teri Galiyaan, Banjaara, and Awari ruling the lists, it also has soul touching songs like Humdard and Zaroorat. Pakistani band Soch' was roped in by the music director for the song Awari' in the movie. After Aashiqui 2, this may be the first album to garner such positive reviews. Singers like Ankit Tiwari (Galiyan), Arijit Singh (Humdard), Mohammad Irfan (Banjaara), Mustafa Zahid (Zaroorat), and Adnan Dhool (Awari) have lent their voice to the album.

2. The Lead Pair:

Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor have been the talk of the town, with the trailer launch of the movie. They have shown some real chemistry in the trailer and now are in the eye of almost every big producers and directors. Both Malhotra and Kapoor are expecting another hit after their previous successful movies.

3. Mohit Suri:

Director Mohit Suri tops the list of directors when it comes to a romantic movie. His previous Aashiqui 2collected ten times its budget at the box office grossing over Rs 100 crore, and was accepted very well worldwide. Mohit Suri is back with another love story. But this time he has added some thrill to it. It would be definitely worth a watch to see how Suri balances both the genres. One of his previous movie Awarapan' was also a romantic thriller and was critically acclaimed.

4. Riteish Deshmukh as a villain:

Known for his impeccable comic timing Riteish Deshmukh is trying something new with Ek Villain. In the trailer he is portrayed as an antagonist. Apart from the leads his performance is also something to look forward to. He has been compared with Shahrukh Khan of Darr' but will have to wait and see how he portrays the character.

5. The thrilling plot:

The trailer of the movie has created excitement among the viewers. The team of Ek Villain' is claiming that there are no heroes in the movie and all are villains. With this, the thrill element in the mind of the viewers is at its peak. The movie is inspired from the Korean movie I Saw the Devil.'

Ek Villain: Reasons that make it such a hot property! -

The ongoing sweltering summer has cast a dry spell at the box office. Many small budget films came to the forefront due to the paucity of any potential money spinners. The star crazy movie junkies, who like to splurge on their regular dose of masala potboilers, have nothing to worry about though. The latter half of the Summer is lined up with some gargantuan films that boast of an extravagant star cast. But first on the list, is Mohit Suri's Ek Villain. Here are some of the reasons that make this film such a hot property this summer:

Sizzling Chemistry: A steamy lip-lock shared between Sidharth and Shraddha in the first trailer has already set the junta's hearts racing. The trailer, showcasing a couple of romantic snaps of the duo romancing on the sun-kissed beaches of Goa, insinuates the possibility of a rollicking chemistry on cards. What's more, the offscreen cozy rapport that the duo reportedly shares has also kept the shutterbugs on their toes.

Mohit Suri is in devastating form: Mohit Suri's last outing at the box office - Aashiqui 2, was one of the biggest hits of 2013. Made on a shoe-string budget, the film went on to collect more than double its investment. Understandably, this has led to many trade pundits putting their money on Suri to deliver a massive Summer bonanza.

The intrigue factor - who's the villain: While the first trailer showed signs of the belligerent Sidharth as the baddy, the second one prominently showcased Riteish's character having shades of grey, as he's set out to kill the imperturbable Shraddha in one of the scenes. The latest news doing the rounds, however, is that the real villain of the film might be none other than the leading lady herself. An online video depicting Shraddha wearing the menacing villain hoodie, has triggered such a speculation, thereby doing wonders to the buzz around the film. Commenting on the recondite state, Sidharth Malhotra said, "We have tried to confuse people and keep them guessing who the hero is and who is the villain. It's a new trend, where a hero can also become a villain and have negative characteristics".

Music: After the chartbuster albums of Aashiqui 2 and Murder 2 the incredible combination of director Mohit Suri and music director Mithoon are back again into familiar territories, to create yet another musical sensation. Two song promos have been released so far - Banjaara sung by Mohammad Irfan, is a soulful number whose effect goes several notches up when played in the backdrop of the chemistry between the leads. The other track - Galliyan has a mesmerizing cadence. During the making of Galliyan, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor had to remain underwater for almost 7 hours! Eventually, the effort seems to have paid off.

Composed by Ankit Tiwari, the song has already garnered massive hits on YouTube and is well on its way to become the romantic track of the season.

Role reversals galore: The film not just marks Riteish Deshmukh's debut as an antagonist, but even the Student Of The Year' young gun Sidharth Malhotra has been shown in a never-seen-before avatar. Sidharth, who is all set to shed his lover boy image, is seen in the promos thwarting almost everyone on his path with lan. Likewise, Riteish, who has proven his mettle mostly in the comedy genre uptil now, will be itching to get a makeover and prove that he is no mug in the serious acting department.
