Daam is the best Pakistani drama I've ever seen! Next on the list is Dastaan, Malaal , Zindagi Gulzar Hai and Humsafar. I want to watch Doraha, but the YT copies are terrible, looking for HD Rips.
I was so crazy about Humsafar at a point I just used it as my IF U/N. 😆

I love Rishta.Com, Powder, Baa Bahu aur Baby, MJHT, IPKKND and Geet from Indian dramas. (the last three only because the leads looked great together) Then Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Khichdi, Shararat, Tu Tu Main Main, Hip Hip Hurray and Kadvee Khatti Meethi in sitcoms. There was more variety in Indian dramas and sitcoms in the 90s, now it's all either saas-bahu soaps or love stories dominating TV. 🥱

Jawad was a little too forward in the beginning, but then that's just how he is and Zinia was very relatable. 😆 I loved how they broke the ice and started getting along. I'm glad they explained why she fell for that loser Danish. 🤢😆 Mahi is really relatable also ..an immature princess in her parent's house, gets married and has to grow up and become responsible. I loved how everything was interconnected too with Saifi and his story. The parallel tracks about dangers of internet relationships were good too. 👏

Daam was next on my list! I will start that next..and then Doraha. These are both on YT right?

LOL yeah, Jawad was really straightforward in the beginning when he hardly even knew Zinia..but then you realize that's just his personality. 😆 Their personalities complemented each other really well. All of their scenes were perfect and as you mentioned, the two characters always TALKED to each other..which allowed us to understand them individually and their relationship. I personally love this scene:

Danish and Mahi were so annoying. 😆..but their characters were also really easy to relate to, especially Mahi's as you mentioned.

Daam and Doraha are really awesome as well. All three of these shows capture human relationships so well...especially Daam. Every character is so easy to relate to ...even more so than Malaal's I'd say because Daam captures our every day to day story involving friends, family, love life etc. The only problem with Daam is that it's not available anywhere online in great print. It is on youtube and you'll manage, but the quality isn't the greatest...but whatever the case is, try flip flopping between different links from different users who've uploaded Daam on youtube..😆 there are only 18 episodes and like I said, there's no other way to watch the show at the moment. Doraha is up on youtube as well..and the quality is better than Daam's.

I wouldn't mind watching Pakistani shows but frm what I hear, most have cousin weddings and that would make a little uncomfortable. Lol

That's true for most shows..but honestly there's really no mushy romance where you'd feel uncomfortable. There's more to it then two cousins merely getting married in such stories...but, you'd have to see them to understand what I mean. 😆

I found it surprising that in their culture they can marry Chacha's/Tau's kids too. Yeah couldn't digest that though.

I find it odd too. A friend of mine married her mamu's beta, she grew up calling the guy Imran BHAI. LOL But to each their own.

The basis of that is more religious than cultural though.

Have only seen a few Pakistani dramas...Zindagi Gulzar Hai is an exceptionally well written one. Loved it.
I think the advantage the Pakistani dramas have is that they are shot in advance..with a set # of episodes as opposed to changing tracks for TRPs.

But in the end you can't generalize and say one is better than the other...it varies from serial to serial depending on story content and quality.
