Recently i saw a channel "Zindegi"which will launch soon .It will have famous shows from Pakistan..From trailers i am highly impressed.Apart from the treatment and limited episodes,what i really liked was the freshness and modernity they showed.Though i have to see them,yet they seem pretty good.To be frank classics in front of saas bahu shows in india.

People call Pakistan regressive ,yet their television is so progressive .Which is highly commendable.

Even some of the actors will be seen in Indian films.

My question or topic is ..how good are these shows?How many of u seen them ? which are the best among them..What future do u see of these Pakistani actors in Indian cinema?Like Fawad,Imran Abbas etc

I watch Pakistani shows. When I first started to I really liked them because they didn't have much of saas bahu crap. However, once you watch more you realize they are no different. Ours are focused on saas bahu crap while theirs are mostly based on a woman who is treated badly by her in-laws/husband, divorces, marriages blaah. They all have the same storyline too.

Though I am completely done with desi, be it Pakistani or Indian shows, I do believe our television has a bit more variety. There is this show Ek Hasina Thi.. it's the only one I follow currently.

I believe that Pakistani tv shows are fantastic! Actors like Fawad Khan and Fahad Mustafa are absolutely brilliant.

Watched a lot of Pakistani shows.. Some are really good..But after a point they are really boring as there is no variety. If you haven't watched many,just watch the top recommended ones and don't bother with the rest as they are minor variations of the same plot ..

Best part of Pakistani serials is that most get over in 20-25 episodes. Unlike on Indian channels, where makers are asked to develop the story if a serial does well, which destroys the very essence of a good story.

I think Indian TV saw some good shows in the 90s. In recent times Ek Hasina Thi and 24 (remake of American series) have been different.

Like bullseye said, if your stick to the top rated ones then it is all good but more you watch more you realize that shows have started to look the same.

For e.g the top rated show humsafar was a mix of meri zaat zara e benishaan + qaid e tanhai. The latter two shows seemed like a copy of each other too at certain level. The male lead being common is one.

But all were well made with some good acting and romance and that is why people really liked them all.

One show that has been on my watch list is daastaan. I don't know why I keep delaying to watch that show as I have watched other crap but that show.

Also one show that I saw that they will play on Zindagi is mera naseeb. ugh! What a torture that show was. So messed up.

Anyway I hope you enjoy watching Pak shows. Get ready for some good watch, short length of drama and talent :)

Watch humsafar, it's mind blowing as well as Zindigi gulzar hai. I loved both the movies. Pak shows are amazing and some of the pak actors are really talented. Some have potential to make it in Bollywood as well

I know Ek Hasina Thi is brilliant show..But how many Ek Hasina thi do we have??Once in a while one Maryada,One Radha Ki Betiyaan one Jassi ..and many more Bahu and betis

I love Pakistani dramas however, lately some of the storylines are repetitive but I like Shab E Zindagi, Laa and currently Mere Meherbaan, I like watching Kitne Girhen Baki Hain but other than that the same "two wives" storyline or "both girls like the same guy" is so annoying.

Kankar was an excellent Pakistani drama too. Indian dramas are no different either but I agree Ek hasina thi is excellent at the moment, rape is a very sensitive issue, storyline is good hope they don't ruin it and I like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein..
