Indian Idol is played in North America as well, yet the people watching here do not get to vote - How come-???
Above - this is what I am assuming is the case so far, please let me know if otherwise.

Also, there should be internet voting (poll) or some sort - it would mean greater participation and it would also be easier for people to vote.

There are numerous watchers right in this forum.

i think the places they auditioned in, dat country is allowed 2 vote only...i think so, not exactly sure

They never auditioned in Oman , Bahrain and Saudi. Why then is voting allowed there?
Online voting doesnt make sense to Sony because it/ AIRTEL will not profit from them.
I bet the reason why there is no voting for US or Canada people is because AIRTEL doesnt have any partners/ sister firms in the US while it has in the countries where voting is allowed. 😡 😡

Don't you know SMS voting means money for Sony & Telephone Networks - Hence No Internet voting. It is pure economics.

It's sad that it's all about the money. It will be a great day when the voting system is changed and a person with real talent gets to be Indian Idol (or the winner of some other show).
