Actor Amrita Rao might soon be seen gracing the small screen as it has been reported that she has been finalized to play the lead role in an upcoming show to be aired on Star Plus.
According to a leading daily, Amrita has been roped in to play the protagonist's role in Shashi Sumeet Mittal's forthcoming venture.
The makers of the new show who already have the hit serial Diya Aur Baati Hum under their wings have made Amrita their latest choice.
Amrita's younger sister Preetika has already made her foray into television with the show Beintehaa.
Sources close to the daily have added that the show is a love story cum family drama.\
