"I hate you! Go from here! Do you have any idea what time it is? You have promised to come at 7 and now see the time! See na! It's 10 now. I lied to Amma that I am staying at my friend's place tonight. I LIED! I can't believe I lied to Amma for you. I hate you and more than you I hate myself for lying for you. I should have left but NO! I have to wait! But not anymore! You enjoy your dinner, I am going!" with her slender figure shaking with rage, Khushi collected her purse and was about to leave when she was stopped.

"Leave me!"

"Never!" he pulled her, her body instantly colliding in his hard one. "Sonu, I am sorry." He tried to tuck the loose strands but Khushi averted her face.

"Apology not accepted. And don't call me Sonu.."

"You HAVE to accept it and I WILL call you Sonu." Arnav leaned forward to kiss her but Khushi pushed him away.

"No! You can't make me wait for 3 hours and then get to kiss me."

"Khushi listen...I can explain.."

"I don't want any explanation. I don't believe that you don't have a minute to call me or answer my call."

"Khushi see, I was in a meeting. My phone was on silent."

"Then why are you speaking now? You should too go on silent. And I am leaving. Bye!" and with that Khushi turned to leave.

"KHUSHI!! You can't leave!! " he strode towards her and catching her hand, he again pulled her in his arms. "You. Are. Not. Leaving. Do you get me?" he gritted his teeth.

Khushi wriggled in his arms.

"Leave me. Leave me, Arnav ji."

"Never! You don't leave when I want you to stay, do you get me?" his ragging eyes stared in her misty one. His hold on her tightened.

"It's paining..." a low sob left her mouth as few pearls dropped from her eyes.

Arnav stared at her tears, his hold on her hand loosened instantly.

"I...I am...I am sorry.." his hand lifted to cup her face. "I ...I didn't mean to hurt you...I am sorry..." He wiped the tears from her alabaster cheek.

Khushi's scared and misted eyes lifted to look at him.

"Sometimes...sometimes you scare me...I...You...you become someone else...whom I don't know...I really don't know..."

Arnav rested his forehead against hers.

"Sonu, ...I am sorry...I am really sorry...I don't know...You do this to me...I hate you for doing this to me...But can't stop loving you ... Even the thought of you leaving me does something to me...You should never say that, Khushi...Never." he whispered, his lips almost touching hers.

"What if one day you ask me to leave you?"

Arnav took her lips in his. Their breathe and tongue mingling together. His arms circled her waist, bringing her close to him. He kissed her till there was no air left to satisfy his lungs.

"Still you are not allowed to leave me. Even if I ask you to." he rested his face in the crook of her neck, basking in her sweet fragrance.

Khushi looked down at him. Who is he? A man who loves her? Or a man who hurts her?

Arnav lifted his face to look in her confused eyes. He cupped her face.

"Khushi? See I am sorry for hurting you. Please? I love you. I really do. I promise to never hurt you again. Promise Khushi."

Khushi stared in his eyes. A sincere apology. A genuine promise. But for how long?

"I...Khushi...Come we will have our dinner...come...You are hungry, right? Come..." He took her hand and walked towards the dining table. He made her sit on the chair and served the food. "Khushi, eat..."

Khushi looked at the plate in front of her.

Arnav looked at Khushi, staring at her plate. He got up from his chair.

"Khushi where is my guitar?" Arnav asked, looking around for the same.

"Uhh?"

"Guitar, Khushi.."

"Guitar?...It's ...it's in the poolside I think..."

Arnav walked towards the poolside.

Khushi lifted her head to turn back as she heard him play his guitar.

The chiming and soothing sound of her giggles echoed in the whole, otherwise barren Mansion.

"Sir."

"Sir!"

"Sir!!"

Arnav opened his eyes and looked at his Manager. He sat straight, looking around. It was his cabin not RM. He was alone not with Khushi. She is with...with...He again looked at his Manager.

"Aman, where are they?" Arnav got up from his chair.

"Hmmm...Sir they are...for tonight they are staying at Temple..." Aman replied.

"Temple?! That bas***d!! Can't he afford a hotel?!! How CAN he make her stay at some temple?!!" Arnav slammed his fist on the desk. bas***d!

"Sir, I saw him entering few hotels but I don't know what happened. But soon they went to temple." Aman said what he saw.

"Khushi...How was she? Did you see her?" Arnav lifted his head to look at Aman, his voice softening.

"No Sir, I didn't. She was in the car. She didn't came out."

Arnav gritted his teeth. All because of that bas***d, Rudra Ranawat! He don't want to hurt Khushi. But she is adamant on following that good for nothing man, who can't even take her somewhere safe. How can he make her understand? What should he do so that she grants him forgiveness. What?!!

"Which temple, Aman?" Arnav asked.

"Ganesh Temple Sir, the one near RM." Aman replied.

"Khushi? Are you OK? " Rudra asked, his voice laced with concern. He tightened the shawl around Khushi.

"Ji."Khushi replied, her voice a mere whisper.

"No Khushi, you are not ok. Please let me take you to hospital, please. You are burning Khushi." Rudra again tried, tired of her stubbornness.

"No. I want to stay here. I will not go anywhere." Her voice may be a mere whisper but still persistent on her decision.

"Khushi. Leave your stubbornness please. What will you achieve by doing all this.."

"Many things. Let him see the result of what he had done. Let him satisfy himself."

"Khushi, you are hurting yourself. Why can't you..."

"No. No, Rudra ji. I am not hurting myself. He is hurting me. And let him see the hurt he has caused."

Rudra ran his hand in his hair, defeated. What is he supposed to do with her? She is looking so fragile, as if...as if she will break any moment. But her determination to fight that man is not deteriorating a bit. She is not allowing him to take her anywhere. She is hurting herself and he don't know what to do anymore.

"Khushi, see he will not come here. Let me take you to hospital, please?Why are you not understanding? Why are you so stubborn. I don't know why I agree to whatever you say. I really don't know..."

Khushi tried to laugh. She knows. After all, she also use to ask the same question to herself.

"He will, Rudra ji. He will come. He will come to see the spectacle he had worked so hard to set.." Khushi closed her eyes and rested her head on Rudra's shoulder, too tired. She wants to see to which extent he can go. She wants that man to see her, whom he had claimed to love once, and had promised to never hurt.

Hope you liked it. And I am tired of telling you guys that it's an Arshi story. But still if you guys think otherwise, then I can't help. So those who are enjoying the story, read it an those you aren't, they can avoid reading it. I will never mind that. :)
