AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN - what about the underrated performances?

Everyone is so quick to dismiss Aish and her well-known roles with SLB (HDDCS, Devdas, Guzaarish), Ashtoush (Jodhaa Akbar), Subhash Ghai (Taal), Ritupharno Ghosh (Chokher Bali, Raincoat) and Mani Ratnam (Guru, Iruvar). What about the underrated performances? 😕

Umrao Jaan (JP Dutta)

Sarkar Raaj (RGV)

Khakee (RKS)

Perhaps even Provoked? I feel that movie is underrated in a way, it didn't get the full "attention" it deserved. Please share your thoughts on her underrated performances. 😉

I think her performance in Umrao Jaan is underrated. The movie didn't do well in India so its dismissed but Ash had some really terrific emotional moments in that movie. I rate it as one of her best performances.

That is my favorite movie of all time from Aish.

It was real and beautifully done by JP Dutta.

She was fabulous in Provoked. I rate that movie as her best performance. It's one of the best performances given by A lister ever. I feel to some extent even Jodha Akbar is underrated. Because whenever we remember aish, the movies which came to our mind are hum dil de chuke sanam, Taal, devdas but I think she was fabulous in Jodha Akbar. She owed that movie. She was the star of JA.

I also think umrao jaan is underrated. Maybe that movie wasn't a box office hit but Aishwarya was fabulous. I loved loved loved her performancd in umrao jaan. She give a natural performance in UJ.

And I think her performance in dil ka rishta and kuch na Kaho is underrated as well. She was so natural in both the flims. She owe both these flims according to me. I wish she got her due for both the movies.

Actually there are so many movies of her which I liked, I think she was fabulous in raincoat and choker Bali as well. I loved both the movies.
