A soft breeze of summer air entered through the window, making curtains jump upwards to welcome them. Taani stirred as hot breeze caressed her skin, playing with her hairs as she sat in front of a long mirror with a thick soft yellow towel wrapped around her. The girl- Naina, one of from the crew and for today, Naina is Taani's magician as Naina is going use her magic to transform Taani into a real beauty. Naina helped Taani to sit in tub, filled with warm water which had amazing aura of roses. Rose petals were everywhere in the water, softly swimming on slow rhythm of water layers. Taani ran a wet hand on her face. She looked at the two rose petals which were away from each other. Again, a warm breeze came from window, making Taani shiver. She watched as tiny waves formed in water, decreasing the distance between the rose petals. And in time, those two delicate petals collided with each other, forming many waves.

Taani blinked as she felt hand on her shoulder, she looked up and found Naina smiling down at her. Taani returned the smile.

" It's time to get ready.." Naina grinned and helped Taani to come out and gave a rob to her. She left Taani to wear the rob.

Taani did as she told.

Reena helper of Naina clapped her hand and slide down the rubber which were holding Taani's hair loosely.

Sharon waited on the doorstep of Gayatri's room. Sharon watched as Rey's mom, murmured softly into the phone. With a final sigh, Gayatri cut the phone and turned. She stopped and looked at Sharon surprised, she nervously glanced at the phone in her hand and smiled at Sharon.

"Sharon.. When did you came? Did I make you wait long?" Gayatri asked a she gestured Sharon to come in.

"No.. Just few minutes." Sharon answered as she watched Gaytari putting phone and table and turned to her. Gayatri's eyes were sad and face was pale. Sharon looked at the phone and then at Gayatri.

"Were you talking with Mr.Singhania?" Sharon asked, carefully with soft voice. Gayatri exhaled slowly and nodded, answering Sharon's question silently.

"I informed him and he said, he is busy, he can't come from London. I told him that.. Reeyansh is getting... Engaged." Gayatri said with a pause.

" But, he said, he can't and cut the call." Gayatri shook her head and sat on bed, tiredly.

Sharon was about say something, when her eye caught a person standing in doorstep. She quickly shut her mouth and looked at Gayatri who wasn't yet aware that another person was participating silently in their conversation.

"Why did you bother him to call, Ma?" Rey asked, as his eyes looked into distance from window. He stepped in room and turned towards Gayatri who was looking at him with shock on her face.

"He is your father, Reeyansh. He know you are getting engaged and I.."

"Really? Well, good to know that he know that he has son. Well, I suppose he is not coming because of some stupid meeting he is attending somewhere out of the India. Right?" Rey asked, as he waited patiently.

Gayatri was about to say, but Rey raised his hand and told her by his action that he was no mood to listen so-whatvere-explanation.

" I knew from very starting, he will not come. I was actually here to tell you, that there is no need to invite him. But, anyway.. I guess, you got your answer. " Rey said.

He looked down at his watch and then pulled out his mobile from his pocket.

"I need to do some calls." Rey muttered and turned on his heels, leaving Sharon and Gayatri.

The afternoon ran past like a flicker of light. Taani sighted and pushed the plate aside which had some snacks for her. She hadn't eaten all of the day, her stomach was growling but, her mind and brain was not ready to start working yet. She wanted to be just blank. Her heart was on fast pace than it's usual. She gulped and her eyes flickered on the clock.

4:45pm.

The engagement was going to take place on exact 7pm. Guests were starting to come, she could hear their gathering. In 15 or more minutes, all the wild girls with weird hairstyle and clothes will barge in and start helping her to get ready for the amazing happy time- 'Getting engaged'.

Rey ran a frustrating hand from his hair, messing them completely. He looked at Swayam who was looking at him with disapproval. But, he decided to ignore it. He looked up as two figures entered through entrance, making his blood boil. In one glance, Swayam was at his side.

Kia and Raj entered the living room. Rey glanced down at their intertwined hand, he could actually feel his skin on heat. Raj stood in front of him.

"I want to see my sister." Raj announced.

Rey narrowed his eyes on him. "Really? Do you really think you can order me in my house?" Rey barked at Raj.

Raj shook his head and ignored Rey. Swayam tried to calm him down.

"Rey, Taani is his sister-"

Rey's head snapped towards Swayam, his eyes were hard and distant.

"Really? -"

Swayam shook his head and gripped Rey's shoulder.

"Rey. Calm down, let them meet. Just calm down." Swayam nodded at Raj and a servant came forward, leading them the way.

Rey removed Swayam's grip and glared at his best friend.

Taani looked up as she heard the knob turned. Her face immediately fell as she found Kia standing there with her Bhai. Taani stood up as they both made their way towards her.

Taani glared at Kia who was smirking at her. The cause of all this drama which is destroying everyone's lives.

"Taani.." Raj whispered as he eyed Taani, making sure she is okay. But, as soon as he met her eyes, he cringed back. Her eyes were cold, distant. They used to be always smiling, gleaming with carefree attitude. Raj observed her, slightly swollen eyes. They only happened when she cried a lot.

"Taani.. why don't you just run? We will help you." Raj asked.

Taani blinked at him and then chuckled dryly.

"Really? Bhai? Do you think, I am gonna look up at you, taking you as inspiration and will run away like a coward you are. Really?" Taani asked.

Raj winced at her words. He never imagined her baby sister will talk to him like that.

"Look Taani.. Raj dragged me here to help you. See, As I escaped you can als-"

Taani burst out laughing. Kia glared at Taani. Taani shook her head and pressed her lips together to stop herself from laughing.

"Oh my godd..." Taani panted and looked at Kia. " Well, I will not escape like you. You know.. I am not any s***like you. So, now both you, can go." Taani hissed.

But, Kia had other plans. She stalked towards Taani and in no time she grabbed her wrist and turned her.

"Ahhh.." Taani shirked in pain. Raj gasped.

"Kia... Leave her." He shouted at Kia. But, Kia ignored him. Kia twisted Taani's wrist, making her wince in pain.

"She called me s***. How dared she!" Kia screetched, Taani winced as she had to deal with Kia with her shrill voice. Raj wanted to help, but he backed off. Taani looked at him with disbelief.

"What... Bhai...Aaa.." Taani winced and painfully closed her eyes as Kia twisted her wrist really hard. Tears sprang in Taani's eyes. She didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

She couldn't believe, Raj wasn't doing anything. His little sister was practically getting abused by his fiance and he is watching the show.

"LEAVE HER."

Kia's head whipped towards entrance of the room. Rey was standing there, glaring with cold stare. Kia blinked as she found herself leaving Taani's wrist. Taani whimpered as she straightened her hand. There was big ugly red bruise around her wrist. She rubbed her wrist and blinked back the tears, but they anyway rolled down. Swayam blinked as he watched what was happening in front of his eyes. He couldn't believe what he saw. He granted permission to Raj, just because Taani is his sister. But, This was really... Unbelievable.

Rey stalked towards Taani and pulled her from arm, near him. His grip was tight on her arm. Taani quickly looked down.

"Security." Rey barked, making everyone wince ,in the room. Taani shivered as she heard his high pitched order tone. The two familiar bodyguard made their way towards Taani's room, stopped behind Swayam as Swayam told them.

"Don't you dare. And, she called me, something very inappropriate. She needed to get a lesson." Kia hissed at Rey.

Rey narrowed his eyes into slits. "I don't want to hear your voice. GET OUT MY HOUSE, NOW." Rey said, emphasizing every word.

Kia was literally shaking with anger, her palms were balled into tight fists. She turned and stomped her way, out of the room. Swayam backed away, as Kia passed him fuming. Raj looked at Taani, hesitatively he took step forward only to come to know that, she took one step back. Her head hung low. Taani closed her eyes as Raj passed from her.

It's painful.

It was very painful to know that your brother can't stand up for you. Your own brother chose someone else over you, who is not worth. Taani felt like, she doesn't belong to the feeling called 'HAPINESS'. The feeling is not for her, for her so-much-messed-up life. Her parents left her. The only one she had as her mom, her dad , her best friend, her support, walked away in front of her, leaving her all alone, pushing her in aloof corner of life.

Swayam escorted bodyguards out, leaving Taani and Rey alone. Rey turned to Taani. Her hair was hiding her face, hiding her pain. There was a sudden knock on the door, his head snapped in that direction. All girls were waiting, carrying various boxes, make-up kits. He nodded at them and they all barged in, silently putting everything. He glanced at Taani for last time and turned on his heels.

Rey came out of her room and made towards his. He wanted to do so many things in that moment when she was looking down, hiding her face by taking advantage of her hair. But, he couldn't. His mind, body were frozen.

He entered his room and slammed the door behind him.

The back porch of Singhania Mansion was all crowded. The soft music was playing. The back porch of Singhania was surrounded by trees which were now glowing with yellow Christmas bright lights. Gayatri was alone attending guests. Rey walked down the stairs in black sherwani. He quickly joined his mother.

Gayatri couldn't help but admire the way Rey look utterly handsome and dashing in the sherwani. She smiled sadly as she remembered about the situation. In what situation, her son was getting engaged to the girl who is not actually at the fault but she has to face her son's rage and hate. But, Gayatri really can't help in it.

Rey's Dress:

Gayatri smiled as Rey touched her feet. As soon as, he stood up, She pulled him into hug. Sharon and Swayam smiled at the scene. At least something was getting good.

A slim, curvaceous, famous model- Anjali Nadia walked towards Rey and purposely, took hold of his arm. Gayatri didn't like the gesture at all. But, she didn't comment on it.

"Rey, where is the lucky girl, you are getting engaged?" Anjali asked.

Swayam and Sharon joined the conversation. Before Rey could say anything, Sharon announce.

"There she is." Sharon said, but her eyes fixed straight away. All followed her gaze and When Rey looked in the direction.

Rey couldn't move his eyelid to blink. His heart just stopped, literally stopped pumping.

Taani nervously tucked a strand behind her ear, bitting her bottom lip. She was standing in the centre of the crowd, all eyes were on her. All men were just stunned to even move and some women were admiring or glaring at her.

Gayatri walked towards uncomfortable Taani. She came beside Taani and smiled at her and started leading Taani way.

Rey watched as Taani made her way towards him. His heart was literally thumping against his ribcage.

Taani's Dress:

There she was in all her beautiful glory. The lenhega she wore shimmered under the black sky. Her bossom was covered by tiny golden blouse, showing her shoulder blades. Dupatta was on one side. The net duppta was draped over her shoulder, then the material was successful to hide some little skin of her exposed flat, toned stomach. The embroidery of lehenga was three layered. Her small waist with perfect curves were somehow visible. Her long legs were hiding due to the long lehenga. Rey's eyes trained on her from toe to head. Her hair were curled, his fingers practically etched to feel the softness of those curls. Her neck was on the show as she had taken her hair on one shoulder. Rey couldn't help but admire her beauty. The way her skin glowed under the lights and the stars which were now showing up as if they were also attending their engagement.

Rey snapped out of his trance, when he felt something in his hand. He looked down and saw, Taani's hand. His eyebrows were knotted. He looked up and again, his heart forgot how to work. His eyes were practically roaming on every inche of her. Her soft, kissable lips were painted with lipstick which was doing something to him.

Anjali was gone from his side and his mother from Taani's side. He could only see the girl he is getting engaged. Swayam watched as Rey just stared at Taani. Like, he wasn't just present there.

Taani blinked as his thumb caressed the back of her hand. She looked up slightly, aware of all the focus on her. She gulped as she took his profile. The black sherwani just suited his body built perfectly. His broad shoulders were very noticeable. The buttons were till his throat. But, no one could ignore his broad chest.

"It's time for exchange of rings."

Gayatri said, enough for everyone to hear.

Taani looked confused as two maids came forward with the plate in their hand, the plate was covered with red velvet material and on top of that, a solid, silver box was waiting to be opened.

Rey finally removed his eyes from Taani and turned towards the maid to take the ring. He opened the lid and took out the most stunning ring which was clustered with diamonds which were shining in the moonlight. The design was so much delicate and the gold ring supporting it , just stunning.

Taani inserted the ring which she had taken up from the box. Rey's ring was also stunning. The gold ring had a unique design engraved on it.

It was Rey's turn to slide the ring. He took her palm in his and very slowly slide the ring into her slender fingers. The loud applause surrounded them. Few flashes were flickering on them. People came and gathered around them, congratulating them.

Rey put his hand around her waist. He slide his finger on the skin of her small waist and then, his finger skimmed curve of her waist and his fingers finally stopped on her stomach, near her belly button. Taani shivered. The sensation of his fingers was something that couldn't be described. People surrounded them like magnet attracts the metal particle. Every male in the crowd, didn't forget to look at Taani who was in Rey's arms.

Rey couldn't help but tightened his hold on her, pulling her closer to him. Of course, how can he forget about all the other male population. His eyes nearly scanned the crowd. Whovewer looked at Taani, Rey would just glared at him. He didn't even let them shake-hand with her. Not that he was rude. But, before they could introduced themselves he would introduce and then turned to next guests.

Taani sighted as finally, crowd lessened, air passed and she finally breathed. She looked up at Rey and found him staring down at her. She blinked and quickly averted her eyes from him. Rey gave a slight push to her, getting her attention back. Then, he started walking as he had wrapped one arm around Taani, she had to follow him, if she didn't want to loose her balance or fall on her face, something like that.

They walked towards the small stage which was decorated with lights and flowers. Rey helped Taani to climb up and then they both took sit on the chairs, which were very different and decorated. Again, they were surrounded by guests and had to deal with them.

After nearly two hours, Taani felt like she should use washroom. She wanted some silence as surrounding was too much noisy. She looked at Rey who was busy with associating with some of the group of directors and left her to associate with some female models and other guests. She excused herself and walked in mansion and entered the washroom. She pushed the door and let it bump on the wall.

She leaned on the counter and sighted. Some minutes passed and she finally looked up. She straighten up and adjusted her dupptta, ran fingers through some curls. She looked down and adjusted the plates of her duptta which was on her stomach. She looked up and froze. Rey was standing there, staring at her through mirror. She blinked as he took steps towards her. When he was near more, than enough to feel his breath on her shoulder, she turned and face him. But, there was a mere inches between them. She gulped and quickly took one step back. In return, Rey stepped forward.

Taani breathed heavily, feeling their proximity. She bite her lips. Rey watched her every moment. From blinking her eyelids to bitting her lips. Taani again stepped back and gasped as her exposed back contacted with the cold tiled wall. Rey placed both of the palms on walls, on the either side of her head, trapping her.

Taani was about to turn her body and escape. But, Rey pushed his lower body forward on her, pinning her against wall.

"Don't" He whispered as he looked at her lips which were trembling slightly. Minutes passed by, but Rey just stared down at her, studying her every feature like he wasn't getting satisfied by only one look. Taani felt very nervous under his gaze. She nervously raised her hand and pushed the strands behind her ear. Rey watched the ring on her finger. It looked magnificent on her slender finger. The bangles around her wirst, collided on each other, making a small sweet sound. His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes caught something wrong.

Through the gap between the bangles, he could see a black patch. He frowned as Taani lowered her hand. He removed his one palm from the wall and grabbed her palm, making her look at him with her wide eyes. He slide the bangles down by his fingers and then a bruises of fingers around her wrist caught his attention. He moved her wrist little but Taani winced. He exhaled slowly, Taani could feel him getting tense. He put her hand on his shoulder and leaned. His eyes flickered from bangles to her.

Rey studied her eyes, watching the most amazing chocolaty orbs, staring back at him. He leaned and his breath fanned her chin.

Rey's hand slide on her stomach then through curve, he put his arm around her waist and pulled her closer. Her chest collided with his, bursting her heart like a bomb. Rey removed his other palm from wall and cupped her chin, making her shiver as his palm got cold due to the cold tiles. Rey watched as her eyelids flickered closed as he leaned more. His knuckles caressed her soft skin of her cheek.

Taani couldn't help but close her eyes. His intoxicating scent surrounded her all sense, disabling the ability to think.

And, then.. Rey closed the distance between them. Taani's fingers fisted the material of his shervwani. His lips met hers, caressing every inch of her soft lips. Rey could taste the delicious strawberry lipgloss which was coated on her lips. Rey's fingers skimmed from her cheek to her neck, he cupped her neck and pulled her more in their passionate moment.

His tounge darted over her lips, making her whimper. She was out of breath. Her chest was moving up and down against his. He could feel the restriction of material between their bodies. His eyes snapped open and his lips stopped their magical nipping with hers. He slowly broke the contact between their lips. Their breaths were mingled. His minty and her sweet strawberry.

And, then it hit them.

They kissed.

They kissed. Not for the show, not for the reputation, not for photos they want to have in newspapers.

No one was present her. Nor media, nor public. Both had their sense perfectly. Not a single drop of alcohol in their system and...

.

They kissed. They kissed with the all the passion they had, making each other breathless.

They kissed, with all their sense on.

Taani gasped and Rey exhaled slowly...
