<font face="arial" color="2c2c2c">Suraj Pancholi has lost his dog. One of his two pet dogs Franco passed away suddenly last week. It is a big emotional blow to the young actor who stays all by himself with just the two canines for company.

Says Suraj's friend, "From the age of 14, Suraj has stayed away from his parents. He moved into his grandparents' home.When they passed away he continued to stay on his own with just Fausto and Franco, his two pet dogs for company. He considers them his family."

Franco suddenly fell ill with a stomach ailment which grew serious in hours. Says Suraj's friend, "He rushed home after shooting and spent the whole night with Franco's head on his lap. But the doctors couldn't save his life. Franco's passing away is a big blow to Suraj."

The softspoken actor says, "Yes, it is a big loss. He was my family." Suraj has not told his folks about Franco's death. "My mother is shooting in Barcelona and my sister is in the US. I haven't told them about the loss. They were as attached to Franco as I was. I don't know how to break the news to them."
