this shows that before coming to any conclusion, think twice. anjali did the mistake of shouting and hurling words at kushi. she did not wait for any explanations. that is very wrong. and kushi is one brave girl. hope arnav makes her human. wonderful update

Part- 15(B)

Shashi again walked inside Shantivan, averting Arnav's questioning gaze, crossing him like nothing happened.

Arnav only stared after him...

What was that?

He just couldn't believe what he had just witnessed.

Khushi and Shashi uncle!

The comfort, the affection, the love in that hug was unmistakable, as if... as if they knew each other more in personal level than professional.

As if they are related...

Suddenly his eyes grew wide as a thought struck him, they both share same surname, Gupta.

Are they related? But how? And how come he doesn't know about that?

He knew Khushi wouldn't tell him a thing about herself, but what reason Shashi uncle has to hide their relation, if they have any?

He ran his hand through his thick mane frustrated and confused.

Would he ever be able to solve the puzzle, what Khushi Gupta is?

Damn!

He needs to get some answers before he loses his sanity over this girl, and with that thought he too walked in with determined strides.

"You saw uncle how she screamed at me?" Anjali wailed.

Since Shashi had come in and had taken a seat in one of the couches in the lounge, Anjali had started with her complains like a petulant child, much to Shyam's irritation and so others' except Shashi, who had an unreadable expression on his face.

Arnav walked in just at that precious moment making Anjali whine a little more, "See Chotey is again hurt and she did nothing to protect him? How come she and her team are so careless to let this happen to him again?"

Arnav frowned and looked away unable to meet Shashi's pointed gaze ashamed. He was sure Shashi knew everything and his Di was just making a fool of herself. But for the first time he didn't wish to save his Di from the embarrassment which was sure to follow when Uncle would open his mouth. He was actually holding onto the last thread of patience himself to not to snap on her in front of everyone.

What in God's name is wrong with her that she is behaving like a kid?

He never went against his elder sister even she acted unreasonable, but today was the heights.

He again heard her, "Uncle, are you sure that she is your best officer? Because she does nothing better than to show off before us!" she grumbled again not aware of her listener's hard glare.

But Arnav saw Shashi's hardening eyes and thought he and others had enough of her nonsense.

"Enough DI."

Startled Anjali turned to the source of the rude voice, unable to believe her ears that for the second time in same hour she got told off and that too from her beloved Chotey.

Arnav again opened his mouth to put some sense in her head when Shashi asked him to stop through his eyes.

Exasperated and exhausted Arnav slumped down on the nearby couch.

Shyam left Anjali's side and went to stand by him, because in this entire hubbub the person, who was actually hurt, went ignored since he had come back, and Shyam could clearly see that.

So he decided to provide his comfort, who needed and deserved it at that moment rather than wasting it on a stubborn woman, who refused to act her age.

Yes he loved his wife dearly, but he could never support her unacceptable childish behavior.

Arnav smiled gratefully to his jijaji before exhaling loudly and closing his eyes to relax for a moment.

"Anjali beta, I understand your concern and fear for your brother, but I would really appreciate if you hear out what the other person has to tell you, before jumping into conclusion." Shashi's cold and measured voice sounded in the silence that had followed after Arnav's command to silence her sister.

Anjali opened her mouth to say something, but Shashi showed his palm politely to stop her as he wasn't finished yet, "I have heard you beta, now hear me out."

And she zipped her mouth.

"You know beta, my officers are my pride, so never question their capability before me, it doesn't sit well with me" his piercing gaze made Anjali lower her eyes and so others.

Arnav's ears went red in shame as he heard Shashi again, "And as far your brother's injury is concern, well, you should better ask him, what actually had happened last night and how."

All the pair of eyes turned to Arnav's direction in the lounge making him hung his head low and look away.

Shashi continued, "if not for Khushi and her team, Arnav might not have been sitting here at this moment... he trailed off, not wanting to go into details.

Unable to bear the guilt and embarrassment any longer, Arnav narrated the whole incident of last night, just keeping the reason of his going there to himself.

Devyani gripped Akash's hand, who was equally stunned.

Shyam pressed Arnav's shoulder unable to think the consequences if Khsuhi, Abhay, NK and Kishore would have been a minute late.

And Anjali well, she was another story all together. Her water work started again, overwhelmed with all the emotions from horror to shame.

"Oh Chotey... Oh I am sorry, Uncle... I shouldn't' have... I don't know what came over me seeing Chotey hurt... I should apologize to Ms Gupta... I will call her right now..." she mumbled hiccuping in between.

"That won't be necessary dear" Shashi quickly stopped her as he saw Anjali reaching for her phone. Who better than him knew that it would only be harmful for Anjali if she called Khushi right now.

Seeing Anjali's unconvinced frowning face, he added, "I already had talked with her outside, she is fine."

It seemed to work as she left the phone and went back to crying again.

Assuring Devyani that everything will be fine soon, Shashi stood up to leave, but he stopped after taking a step and turned to Anjali with a secret smile.

"You know Anjali beta you are right to think that I am a little partial to Officer Gupta...

He saw satisfied the expected glee on her face for getting proved right before he wiped it completely with his next line,

"You cannot really blame a father for favoring a daughter or taking pride in his daughter's achievement. Can you?" Shashi dropped the bomb and pressed his lips from grinning as the following reactions took place...

"WHAT?" It was Arnav who had shot up from his place after this little revelation.Where Akash and Shyam's jaws were almost touching the ground.

Devyani looked aghast.

And Anjali, well she could only stare shocked, her face displaying three big "O"s.

"Yes Khushi is my elder daughter" Shashi reaffirmed proudly.

Way to shut Anjali's big mouth Shashi Gupta.👏👏⭐️⭐️

loved the update... Anji deserved every bit of it...and i preferred her hearing it from Shashi, making her more embarrassed rather then Arnav telling her odd...

and i know there is lot of things to be unfold
i really irritated with anjali ...but she is not at all in fault some how ...she love her chote ...but i thing the family treating her like a glass doll ...y she behaving like a kid
