in carnatic music we call it pallavi, anupallavi and charanam

mukhada is the starting of any song, antara is the middle area of the song 😆 😆, chorus is when a bunch of ppl sing along with the main singer but in the background 😆

Mukhda is juts a colloquial spoken term for Sthayi. In Hindustani Classical a song can have four parts

1) Sthayi
2) Antara
3) Sanchari
4) Abhog

Most songs have only sthayi and Antara , Sthayi moves mainly in medium octaves and Antara always moves mostly in upper octaves. After completing any section of the song sthayi is repeated before entering another subsequent section.
